Greg Davis to resign at end of year

You don't think this years offense was different from the previous 13 years?

Well...it was worse than most ;) GD got in all his terrible sideline routes but just meant that regardless of the OC...we will run an ultra conservative, vanilla, easy to scheme for offense...boring and predictable counting on the defense to win the game for us. It worked when our defense was great...so so when our defense was pretty decent and is a cluster**** when our defense is less than average. Praying next years defense is much better to counter our offensive mindset.

Oh please. Oh please be true. If true, KFs hire will show you if he really is trying to improve the program or not. He needs a good mind that can also recruit, not another retread.

This is interesting, and I agree wholeheartedly. Will be a very telling decision.

GD is only part of the problem.

Those of you who are already doing the "happy dance" at this rumor will be greatly disappointed next year as well, unless some play-makers step up and our new starting QB is great right from the start.

I like how some of you are setting yourselves up for the same disappointment next year as you endured this year. Well done.

You may be right but right now, I don't see how we're any better next year. Whether it's fair or not, if we throw GDGD under the bus, I can stick my head in the sand and imagine that things just might get better in August.

If true it is hard to see it mattering much. With KF in charge he is only going to allow so much in the way of moderinizing the offense. If I remember correctly, we were told something along the lines of the offense was Greg Davis within the philosophies of KF.

KF has been a great representative of the university until recently with his short temper in press conferences. He seems pretty testy. Today's college game is beyond this program with no signs of the Hawks catching up any time soon. And that goes for both sides of the ball.

I Thought KF really represented the university well when he pretended he didn't know his son that was on scholarship was living in low rent housing for the poor. Classiest move by a millionaire I have ever seen!

Although I'd be nervous for next season, I could see his happening. Now, I will join the rest of you in waiting to see if this is true.
It's gonna be a long wkend.

Happy turkey day, folks.
So you're chock full of confidence for next season, eh?

Please please please please please please be true! It could only be better if Phil Parker steps down as well.
Not sure why Parker is getting any heat here..this defensive front was a huge question mark and is a staple in the bend don't break defense, and it's killed us that we're so weak up there.

LOL at people thinking a new OC is all Iowa needs to fix their problems. That has been the battle cry for the last 14 years, and next year will be no different. Not sure what more evidence some people need to see, but apparently some people are just that dumb. Another conspiratorial take on this is that it is being strategically leaked by certain inside sources in order to soften the the blow of the impending Nebbie beatdown. Fans won't feel so frustrated sitting in the bitter cold watching the Hawks get waxed because at least they'll be some significant change heading into next year. The whole "will he or won't he drama" can be drug out for about 2 more months, at least a little ways past signing day. By this point people will be so transfixed by basketball and wrestling that they won't give a sh^t anymore, allowing the status quo to remain with as little ******** as possible.

Next time you want to type something like this, just save yourself the 18 minutes it took, and run into a wall instead. What a stoopid post.

You come in here and accuse people of being dumb, and go on to produce the dumbest theory anyone has ever made on the matter. Solid work here, man. Very funny.

That was a bad move. I really wouldn't expect that from a registered democrat. Disappointing.

Ferentz is scouring the end of season statistics and breakdowns or all 124 or something FBS teams looking for the most defensive and conservative offensive coordinator.
