Greenway, Reisner, Ballard, and Olsen

The real problem is that some people read what they want to read. the thread wasn't just about greenway. I believe I takes quite a bit about riesner and tried to give some insight of how I thought all the iowa guys looked, then I ask one question about if that was unusual behavior by greenway and the king of trolls and his fanboys come out and jump all over the post assuming I stalked greenway..? No. I actually had no say in where we went or what we did.. My friends were vikings fans and I was just along for the ride and if I happened to get an autograph from the former hawkeyes..awesome. The yelling of "hawkeye nation representing!" Is more of "yeah the hawks still support you" and I thought a blank stare was a little rude. My friends and many others wanted greenway's signature. Am I disappointed I didn't get one? yeah. Am I mad? No. it doesn't affect my life either way. Now if OK4P could stop being so dense and repeating pedobear and prole every post like it's still funny... That would be great. The main point of this thread was to talk about all of the stuff I was talking about in the op... Not just the last paragraph.

LOL, I couldn't tell you, I was at the back of the crowd, hoping my dad could get his autograph. I was only like 4 feet tall back then, so I couldn't see Boone past the crowd. So it couldn't have been TOO big :D
 
Whats a fanboy? It sounds like fun. I'd be an OK4P fanboy if it didn't involve anything gross like washing is nether regions or feeding him grapes while fanning him with big palm fronds and stuff.

Last paragraph?
More than HALF of your original post was complaining that a former Hawkeye didn't say hi to you and you thought he should have because you were wearing Iowa gear.

So seeing the majority of your post was about Greenway not saying hi to you, it seems fair game that it be talked about

In case you forgot, here's what you said... (hint - it's more than a paragraph)

Now for Greenway... I didn't see him do much on the field, since he too was on the further field away from the parts I watched.

The thing that shocked me most however, was his attitude off the field... his interaction with the fans was really quite awful.
I'm not sure if I caught him on a bad day, but from what some of the fans were saying.. he had an attitude yesterday as well.

On 4 separate occasions throughout the day Greenway looked at me and my friends(whom I borrowed some Iowa Jersey's to) and then walked away without a wave/smile/anything.

I waited 3 hours with my friends outside of the locker room facility until practice was over along with other fans who showed up after practice had ended, but we wanted to make sure we got their first... and we were.

A couple big name players come out and they go to the fans side of the barricade to sign autographs and all but one fan rushed them... Me, because while they were rushing over to the other players, I saw Greenway walk out of the facility and I yelled to him "Greenway! Hawkeye Nation representing!" and I waved my Iowa hat and pointed at the tigerhawk logo.

I am still a little baffled by this... but Greenway(about 10 yards away) looks up at me.. cocks his head a little and gives me a blank stare for about 2 or 3 seconds... and then gets on his bike and rides away.

No wave, no smile, nothing but a cold shoulder.
I was the only person there decked out in all Iowa gear that I saw and he was the main reason I went. I really hoped he would walk over and give me an autograph or say hi, since all the other fans were distracted and he wouldn't have to feel obligated to sign 50 autographs... but I would have taken even a wave or a thumbs up and it would have made the 8 hour day well worth it.

I'm not trying to complain, but I was always under the impression that Greenway has been really good and appreciative of his Hawkeye supporters... Has he forgotten where he came from now that he is one of the big men on campus for the Vikings? I mean.. the punter stood out there signing autographs for ANYONE and EVERYONE who wanted them no matter how long it took him... I just felt like Greenway would be a little more friendly to a Hawkeye fan who went for almost the sole reason of seeing him.

I'm just curious if anyone has any insight as to why this might be? Because I have always been a huge fan of him and the way he acted sort of made me lose some respect.

We understand, you feel slighted because you are a big Iowa fan and you waited around to say hi to a former player. Sometimes things just don't work out.


If you wanted to talk about Reisner, you should have just talked about Reisner and not talked about feeling slighted.

After reading Spank's eloquent response with the OP's first post in there, I would say the profiles are eerily similar. Excellent post. However, our OP waited for Chad for 8 hours in the heat instead of 4 hours in the cold.

Great point, I think bince we got rid of the reputation thing (though I still have 2 comments that I can't get to, I'm sure they were awesome), we need a new power rankings system to see who is on the most ignored list.

I am telling you.....utilizing "ignore" has made this site way more pleasurable to post on and read. I dont have to waste precious minutes of my life reading the 3 or 4 posts above this one. Try it!

No dude, keep posting. Just don't talk about how you lost respect for ex Hawks because they didn't run up and give you a fist bump or something after practice.

Like I said. It was a poor choice of words when I said lost respect. I did a bad job of being clear on my intentions when I was asking about greenway... Like I said I'm still a fan of him. Not sure where I came across as a crazy obsessed person, but my bad. I'll admit I love the hawkeyes as much as anything else, and if seeing fine former hawks and hoping for an autograph is crazy... Then sorry.
I guess the season needs to start.
