If KF has lost the players then Saturday should be a beatdown. I cannot think that the University would let it go down like this though, but who really knows anymore. Seems we are unraveling at an exponential rate.

Im not calling you out Dude. You have good info. But player info can be very sketchy. They tend to be on a need to know bases from the staff. I have been told by a WR on a Fri who the starting QBs is and he was wrong. The team leaders also tend to circle the wagons pretty well. If this has busted wide open it a pretty big deal. Just cant see KF going out like that. More likely a few players will be shown the door. But you never know
 
The fact that there is this talking going on at all isn't a good sign.

I doubt that a player would know these things, but it shows that the players are listening to rumors, which is, in itself, a story.
 
I agree it's sketchy. I almost didn't post it, but I think considering who it came from.. That I would. Possibly against my better judgement lol.
 
The only way Kirk is not Iowa's coach next season is if he retires (or, God forbid, dies). I would be very surprised if he is fired. Too much money for the buyout.

Hocks23 is far too credible to dismiss this but wow this one is pretty crazy. It will be an interesting couple of months because at the least there are some serious issues between the HC and players. Long term a coaching change is probably needed. For the short term (this season), this type of trouble in the locker room is a disaster.

Who is telling the players that Ferentz is on the way out? Cuz they are lying to the players. If Kirk shows up to a game with a sniper rifle and uses it to take out a dozen people during the 4th quarter, M-A-Y-B-E he gets fired.

A team that is still in the hunt for a division title, controls its own destiny, is one game away from bowl eligibility, has shown flashes, and is typically built the Iowa way is now in the verge of unraveling?

Color me extremely skeptical. Although you would've had me if you said it was GDGD who was on his way out at the end of the year.

Even though it wont be Halloween on Saturday, I may find a way to go as Brett Bielema. I dont know how im going to do it though haha.

Anyways, ill continue to say it, and iv posted this topic many times, BB has to be our next coach.

Your scenario is extremely odd/far-fetched/troubling; but your core point is probably right. Who's going to fire KirFer? The guy who gave KirFer the bestest contract ever!? The same guy who hired a bball coach who brought the program into the dark ages? Is that the guy who's gonna pull the trigger here (maybe a bad cliche to use after quoting your demented scenario-lol).

Again... Color me skeptical.

Solid points. However 7 games into the season you would think that even a solid, above average team would have done more than shown flashes. There hasn't been a single game this season in which you could walk from it feeling pretty good about Iowa's team and their numbers on offense and defense back that up.

Last year's team was a solid/good but nowhere near very good. And there were a few games you could walk away from feeling good about Iowa's team or at least more good than bad: @ ISU, @ Minnesota, Michigan, @ Nebraska. Even Iowa's losses came against pretty good teams.

This team is starting to look like the 2012 version on the field molded with the 2006/2007 version off the field.
