Zeller constantly hang on the rim and nothing called
1:15 to go and they finally call the 7th fouls on indiana

Herby, I think Iowa had a whopping 9 fouls in the half and at one point they showed an 8-6 foul advantage.

Get off the refs and fouls...this is just old

Did you notice how much longer White hung on the rim when he dunked...get a clue.

No you are pathetic. The defense is poor, yes. There is no need for calling them out. You need to step away from the computer for, oh how about ever.

Settle down there buddy. This is what the message boards are for. He's not breaking any posting rules with that post, you however did with yours.

Can't wait until next season. Finally will have defensive presence in the paint and true point guard play. Wish it was next season NOW.

The defense is what it is, but the fact that Iowa will not rebound is what has gotten this game out of control.

EVERY player should be crashing the boards...that is embrassing the way Iowa rebounds the ball.

lots of standing a looking around.

A basic premise for defense in basketball is to not let the guy dribble around you...our guys have difficulty with that basic premise. Everything else: help defense, rotation on defense, etc., is sort of not as important if you cannot stop anybody from going where they want to with the ball.

No he is right this team is pathetic on defense, if you want to look through your Iowa colored glasses go for it, but it still remains this team's defense is pathetic.

Rebounding has to pick up, big time. And Cartwright needs to either settle down or sit. He's playing out of control right now.

Contrary to popular belief, White is not Superman. He can't play 40 minutes, and certainly not at the pace we were playing at the time. He was gonna need a blow eventually, and unfortunately we aren't loaded with bench players who can hang with Indiana.

You're a reasonable guy, tm but I think that "belief" is often a bit too "popular" -- sometimes ya gotta push the horse a bit, and, White / that lineup was showing no sign of fatigue there. Instead of pulling him / them, you use your timeouts to get some rest. Overwhelmingly, coaches use timeouts in response to the negative -- to disrupt the other team's runs -- and far to infrequently use them to actually benefit their team with some rest, reset and refocus. In that case, he actually played right into Indiana's timeout by offering up a disruption to his own team's chemistry and flow. He handed over momentum and it was the turning point that has now avalanched far past the point of no return.
