Game thread

Iowa played well on offense but atrocious on defense. So that means they'll play poorly on offense and well on defense next game. Can't ever be both, that's why it's so frustrating.
 
We can hopefully get the D fixed and we will be fine. Let's finish the season strong. Hope people will still show up for the home games. They need it.
 
and to the poster making the comment about Archie coming down on the guy he went up for a block and the guy fell down under him there was nothing malicious about it
 
I agree on Oglesby. His play today demands he get a starting nod. Cartright needs to see limited minutes. Get the young players as much experience as possible for next year.

They ended up with dunks because we couldn't stop penetration, got out of position with a crappy press, and don't know how to guard ball-screens. It wasn't because we didn't hard foul them early in the game.

I never said that it was. But you put someone on their @ss a few times and they start getting a little more hesitant down low.
 
until Fran get more of his players in here Iam more than happy with scores like this win or lose, better a 100+pt to 89 loss than one of Licks 50-38 pt loss

Them having 20 dunks has nothing to do with knocking someone on their ***. There simply wasn't anyone even close to Zeller on his dunks. The perimeter couldn't stop penetration and no one on the inside knows how to play defense. You can be cheap and still terrible at defense.

Unfortunately I have to agree. You have to be close enough to foul someone before you can knock the crap out of them.
