Frost was made about Big Ten Schedule, thought it is to hard: per sources

My Nebraska sources say they still feel Frost is the right guy for the program, it's just going to take them longer then they were hoping.

Other sources feel Nebraska should return to the Big 12.

What Scott Frost needs to do is recruit better, so far it's not panning out.

They are deluded, no other explanation. Now that Nebraska isn't competing for championships, recruits are going to go to Lincoln and say, no thanks. Those Big 8/12 championship banners are fading fast, and in fact are non-existent in the minds of Big Ten opponents. The 350 or whatever number of consecutive sellouts schtick is a joke. The Blackshirts routine is another relic of the past. What's next? Cardboard cutouts of Tom Osborne and Bob Devaney propped up on the sidelines?

If they lose to Purdue on Saturday, how many will show up for their remaining games? They have to play Wisconsin and Iowa in Lincoln yet, both very realistically could be losses for them.

I agree. They have not been tough in the trenches. This is not the Big 8 where all you had to deal with is OK and Texas.

I enjoy watching certain people or teams get humbled. Unfortunately, it takes Nebraska a bit longer to get humbled because they don't get it.

Wait, dont forget that Nebraska did not really play Texas until Texas joined the Big 8/12 in 1996. Nebby was almost done with their Natty Champ wins by the time Texas joined the same conference. Nebby basically had to beat ONLY OU from 1970 to 1996 to win the Big 8/12 and a trip to the Orange Bowl or some other Jan big 4 bowl or Natty Champ game (minus once in awhile when Colorado or Missou had a good team).

The Big 8/12 had a Big 2 top team longer than the Big 10 did.

In reality Nebby has found out the Big 10 plays much better defense than they were used to playing week in and week out prior to joining the league. Nebby survived and flourished back when they had 100+ scholarships and a huge walk-on program to develop Off and Def linemen etc. That is gone. There are many more schools in the south where players can go to play football, be on TV, and catch the eye of scouts.

Wait a second....according to Nebraska's AD, OSU and Michigan were running scared. Frosty said the Big Ten was going to have to adjust to Nebraska. So, what happened?

Looks like someone got bitch slapped by reality.
They've trash talked Purdue and Iowa, now Indiana, Michigan and tOSU like you said.

Frost, his players, and his AD are on pace to get themselves in trouble via their mouths with every team in the league.

They don't get humbled, they get embarrased. Which is so much funnier.

First it was them coming into the Big Ten and "rolling."

Then it was them "evaluating where Iowa is as a program."

Next it was Scott Frost dissing Purdue as a "winnable game" and getting trucked by Jeff Brohm.

And now it's Frost saying Indiana sucks and getting beat by them at home.

These mongoloids can't get out of their own way and it's 100% self-inflicted. F 'em. Maybe Scott will learn how to shut his Opie Taylor mouth one of these days, but I doubt it.

Mongoloid? Seriously?

Iowa has played Indiana 4 times in last 7 years and don't play them again until 2021 and not scheduled in 2022. I'd say it all is about the same.

I think some doubt is beginning to seep in about Frost tenure at Nebraska. It could be erased by a good finish to the this season, but Nebraska fans expectations are higher than 6 and 6 or 7 and 5.

I've watched some of Frost's comments at his press conferences and his demeanor during games. His appearance and demeanor compared to other B1G coaches isn't as near the professionalism shown by the other head coaches. When you look sloppy it affects those around you mentally. When I listen to him I hear someone that really does not want to be in front of the camera. Answering tough questions about decisions are difficult for him.

The Nebraska team seems undisciplined and I'm unsure Frost is worried about the antics of his players. I sense that he played and coached in environments that tolerated bad behavior and he thinks it is the norm. (Think Nebraska, Oregon and UCF.) Remember this is only his 4th year as a head coach, 2 at UCF and 2018 at NE. Only time will tell if he is the 8th wonder of college football coaches.
Theyre still making silly mental mistakes on the field (I wont even get into their judgement off it). Not lined up in the proper formation, late hits, unnecessary roughness, it still goes on.

And you're 100% correct about Frost. I think he's feeling the pressure of bowl eligibility, and is probably dying to get Martinez back out there where he can get hurt again.

I just have this feeling though, that they will be sitting on five wins when Iowa comes to town and they will need that game to ger bowl eligible. Who knows what stops they may pull out, or what they might say before and during that game.

While this is true as it relates to the old Big 8, a random look at Nebraska's non-conference schedule back then shows they played some pretty good competition. It wasn't all patsies leading into the conference. Their ability to load up on scholarships, park guys on the bench and get them jacked up was well known (and accepted as legitimate back then) sustained them year in and year out. As you note, those days are gone.

I hope this is sarcasm....

Iowa has 9 guaranteed game each season. The 6 teams in B1G West + ISU + 2 tomato cans from the MAC/MWC/etc
The only one of those nine programs that is consistently strong is Wisconsin. And they often have poor QB play. The rest are a mishmash of tough programs that can't recruit at a top level, struggling programs fighting to move up, or programs that are dumpster fires.

Iowa rarely plays Ohio St, Michigan, or MSU anymore. The only East heavyweight they play regularly is PSU.

The only possible way you could have an easier schedule is to be in the ACC Coastal. And they have Miami who is a sleeping giant. KF could not have dreamed of being in a easier setting to win 7/8 games a year consistently

In addition, long gone are the days where good to great players stayed in a program all 4 years of eligibility. They may have been a solid developmental program back in the day which may not be working well now secondary to the attrition of players.

I remember reading their boards before they joined the Big 10. It was similar to Iowa State. The Big 10 is terrible and the Big 12 is way better. We will roll through that conference with ease.

Now their boards are all about how much tougher the Big 10 is than the Big 12.

Penn St. was very similar prior to them joining.

Don't forget, as another poster pointed out, that Ohio State and Michigan, according to Nebraska's AD, were "running scared" now that Sheriff Frost was in town.

Michigan 56 Nebraska 10
Ohio State 48 Nebraska 7

Debby did throw a challenge into tOSU last year but the tighter a game is, the less likely an undisciplined coach and an undisciplined team are likely to win it.

We just played Michigan and Penn State, 2 of the big 3 in the east. next year we go to Ohio State and to Penn State in back to back weeks, Mr. Sunshine. Easier to make shit up than look at facts.

They f'ed up back in the late nineties when they had a chance to reach out to alumnist Barry Alvarez, who would have probably taken the HC position and would probably be sitting in the AD chair at this day.

Barry's wife Cindy was a resident of Lincoln growing up. That would have been the one move she would have let Barry make.

But, Solich was rhe hand picked successor and saint Tom would always have his AD chair nice and comfy warm if he tired of his foray into politics. The coaching carousel, from Solich to Callahan to Pellini to Riley to Frost, has been spinning out of control ever since.

Think for a moment how much of Kirk's success the past six-eight years has been a direct result of Nebraska's buffoonery.
