Frost was made about Big Ten Schedule, thought it is to hard: per sources

Mongoloid? Seriously?
I don't mind going back and forth if that's what you're after, but there's an ignore function.

Would "mental defective," or "cripple" work for you? Those are the only two options I'm offering. I don't want to be offensive.

Iowa has 9 guaranteed game each season. The 6 teams in B1G West + ISU + 2 tomato cans from the MAC/MWC/etc
The only one of those nine programs that is consistently strong is Wisconsin. And they often have poor QB play. The rest are a mishmash of tough programs that can't recruit at a top level, struggling programs fighting to move up, or programs that are dumpster fires.

Iowa rarely plays Ohio St, Michigan, or MSU anymore. The only East heavyweight they play regularly is PSU.

The only possible way you could have an easier schedule is to be in the ACC Coastal. And they have Miami who is a sleeping giant. KF could not have dreamed of being in a easier setting to win 7/8 games a year consistently
2015 has been the only cupcake schedule as of recent......remember KF has no choice on division or conference scheduling. Look at 2020 and give me a bold prediction on our record champ

While this is true as it relates to the old Big 8, a random look at Nebraska's non-conference schedule back then shows they played some pretty good competition. It wasn't all patsies leading into the conference. Their ability to load up on scholarships, park guys on the bench and get them jacked up was well known (and accepted as legitimate back then) sustained them year in and year out. As you note, those days are gone.

I was making the point that they didnt play Texas in conference until 96 or late into their glory years. Oh yes they played bama, psu, Fl St etc out of conference, Iowa in 81 was a stunner

We just played Michigan and Penn State, 2 of the big 3 in the east. next year we go to Ohio State and to Penn State in back to back weeks, Mr. Sunshine. Easier to make shit up than look at facts.

Not making shit up. Looks at the facts. You're talking about this year and next. I'm talking since the East/West split. I said they rarely play OSU, Michigan, & MSU. They don't. I said they've played PSU a lot and they do.

Since East/West realignment which includes the last 6 seasons, these teams have appeared on the schedule

Iowa has played Ohio St 1 time
Michigan 2
MSU 1
PSU 4

That's about as good of a crossover draw as you can hope for.

I didn't say it was his choice. Simply stated he plays in an easy division and has had good crossover draws. He has zero reason to complain about a schedule.

Yep, next year you have at Minny, MSU, OSU, PSU in the first 7 games with a new QB WHO WILL HAVE NO EXPERIENCE.

They f'ed up back in the late nineties when they had a chance to reach out to alumnist Barry Alvarez, who would have probably taken the HC position and would probably be sitting in the AD chair at this day.

Barry's wife Cindy was a resident of Lincoln growing up. That would have been the one move she would have let Barry make.

But, Solich was rhe hand picked successor and saint Tom would always have his AD chair nice and comfy warm if he tired of his foray into politics. The coaching carousel, from Solich to Callahan to Pellini to Riley to Frost, has been spinning out of control ever since.

Think for a moment how much of Kirk's success the past six-eight years has been a direct result of Nebraska's buffoonery.
Alvarez has either been the HC or AD for the past 29 years.

How much of a pimp do you have to be to make the decision that you're going to take a week off your day job and coach a fuckin' Rose Bowl on a few days' notice, and then do it again (Outback Bowl) a couple years later?

Imagine Kirk saying he's leaving for someplace else right before we go to the Ron's Good Muffler Shop Bowl in a few weeks and Barta saying, "I got this."

If they lose to Purdue on Saturday, how many will show up for their remaining games? They have to play Wisconsin and Iowa in Lincoln yet, both very realistically could be losses for them.
Nebraska fans always show up. I do not believe they will have empty seats this year anyway.

Maryland gets them after Wisconsin blows through Lincoln.
This week is the life line to a bowl. Even then you better have the horses after Wisconsin to try and make Maryland #6.

They have pretty much dissed every team in the b10. Minnesota was not happy with them a season or two ago iirc. They have blamed the refs and accused other teams of fake injuries. Every excuse they can think of. But you expect trash talk from fans, but we all know it wasn't just fans.
I expect they will get better eventually.
But probably not until they learn their lesson.

The Big Ten is improving very quickly. It is now a deep conference with a bunch of talented teams, and some elite teams. Nebraska has a long way to go. I don't think Frost really understands this conference. The spread, west coast offense isn't going to produce a winning percentage that is going to satisfy Nebraska's fan base. Also, running your QBs every second or third play is a recipe for disaster. a mobile QB is good but trying to turn him into a running back makes no sense.

According ro Barry's autobiography he was very interested in the U of Miami job around the same time, and with his Spanish background would have been an instant hit in South Florida. Barry loves South Florida and warm weather. The football team was sorta good as well; the pipeline of impact Miami players going imto the NFL from 1995-2005 was staggering.

Cindy kee-boshed all of it. Miami may have been good for Barry but it wasn't for her

It was interesting the difference between how Barry and Jimmy Johnson handled similar situations. Johnson, who ironically was at the U at the time, was offered the Dallas Cowboy job about two seconds after Jerry Jones bought the team (and bounced the legend Tom Landry). Jimmy's wife, for whatever reason, didn't like the idea. Jimmy left her, and the marriage behind and took the job anyway.

Well you remember how the Bill Callahan West Coast offense experiment went at Nebby, not well. It gets hard to pass and catch the ball when the wind is 20 mph and it is freezing cold. Yes you can get lucky and have good weather for most or all of your games but the last 6-8 years I have seen more monsoons and lighting interrupting games, canceling games, making it very hard to play, than I had for many years.

And that is just the rainy time of the year, even worse when it is super cold and spitting ice crystals and snow.

The whole Frost/Nebraska debacle should be a good reference for all of the Ferentz detractors that want him gone. Currently, Iowa and Nebraska compare similar if not equal with regards to resources; both teams are in states with low population and a very limited number of fbs recruits, both have great facilities with big fan bases, and both encounter the same kind of challenges when trying to get recruits to come to their schools from other areas of the country. For a long time Nebraska enjoyed an advantage in their conference with little competition as well as lower admission requirements and taking advantage of prop 48 recruits that would never be accepted in a B1G school. So right now it's a push between the two as far as resources.

Want to run a more wide open attack? Look at Nebraska, they can score a lot of points. But, this is at a severe cost to the defense because they don't have the depth and are on the field a lot. Want to have a running quarterback? Sure we would take Martinez, but you have to know when you run him that your season runs with him. Want to not be so conservative, be a little brash, risky, and not play it safe? Hire a coach like Frosty and let him continually put his foot in his mouth and then get curb stomped by the bigger program's, and, get beat by the lesser ones. Him and the AD make Nebraska look classless and petty.

Complain all you want about being boring and old school and not entertaining and show the records against ranked teams lately. That can be your point and its valid to some. But what we do here lately is beat the teams we should beat, play competitively against those we shouldn't, and can hold our head high either way because we did it the right way regardless. To some, like me, that is worth something.

Not to mention Kirk wouldn't continue to put his foot in his mouth over and over and over and give other teams bulletin board material and extra motivation. It's not as easy as just going out and throwing money at a sure thing to be your next coach. Iowa has it pretty good when it comes to winning football games. It could be better and we all want better but we don't want THAT either.

Yeah, I imagine a lot of Hawkeye fans will show up at least.

The Big v B12 vitamin conference thing on admissions is dead and means nothing except maybe to NW or maybe Truman State.

Much of the SEC and B12s are comparable to Iowa. We've crossed this path before but the state of Iowa ranks like 47th in actual citizens with a BS.

If you were on an OSU, Wisky, MN, or IL fan page you might have a gripe...maybe.

Iowa or ISU or MSU or IU or Rutgers or Maryland have not much to shame Nebby or B12 over.

Also what happens if Iowa loses Stanley?

Hell they couldn't afford to even take a wounded CJ out of the Orange.

KF gets back up QBs no real experience.

What about 49ers and their oft injured star? CJ to the rescue?

Frost and Nebby are two scores away from a 5 game losing streak. Yes we complain about beating jNW by only 20-0 but Nebby barely beat them and barely beat Ilinois before Illinois even found out they had a good team.

Their fans should also look how bad it could be this year.

How bout none of the above.

How about Frytroll. Or

Frydiot
