Frost caught cheating

Dirty cheater!!!!!

These are serious allegations and involve Frost directly. Side-stepping coaching limitations and doing illegal team workouts that could have compromised player health????

He might get hammered over this. Sure cannot help a wobbly programs confidence.

They are at that point, huh! So desperate that they have to knowingly cheat to try to catch up. Like stated above, they can't even do that correctly. The culture there is toxic and Nebraska over time has turned into the death bed for college coaches, players and the program in general. They are very average and in the past couple years, It seems many of their fans have really started to realize it. They aren't out talking about the good ole' days of 30 yrs ago like they used to.

Lol. They aren’t gonna do shit to Nebraska.

This is going to be a couple scholarships and a fine.

Look, I hate Frost and the Huskers with a passion that rivals my love for the Hawkeyes, but this is small potatoes.

1) It was self-reported

2) It was a matter of having a guy in an “analyst” role who’s not allowed to have contact with the players running special teams drills during a practice

3) Brett McMurphy and Frost hate each other because he was the one who broke the story about them ducking Oklahoma. He’s going to make it sound like a huge deal.

Nebraska is going to get a slap on the wrist and some probation at worst.

Fry, not sure if I agree on the slap. In addition to having a consultant running drills as a coach, which is a black and white violation of very commonly understood rules, you also have Frost setting up an off campus training/lifting center in direct violation of NCAA Covid rules. That is a player safety/health issue.

Frost is claiming he had permission to do all this. Anyone think that the AD being shown the door two months ago has anything to do with this? Do I hear the baaahhh of a scapegoat bleating from a 70 year old Moos coming?

I see a short suspension for Frost, small schollie hit, and probation. But, if the AD truly knew about this and blessed these clear cheats, you have an institutional control issue.

I think this is just getting started. At least I hope it is! :)

The NCAA just let Baylor off scot free for not reporting sexual assaults and you think they're gonna go after a tire fire program like Nebraska?

There is no question that Alberts has cause to terminate Frost now. But, because this is survivable and not a mortal sin, he doesn't have to. Alberts has to look himself in the mirror and decide whether Frost can return the Shuckers to a championship form given the last three years and an NCAA investigation hanging around his neck. I don't think he can wait and see if Frost does okay this year and then decide. Firing him now would be accepted by the masses as reasonable, and would give Trev a couple years of grace while he finds a new coach to lead the Bugeaters.

If you really think about it though, I don't see Nebraska firing Frost unless Alberts is ready to just accept being another Illinois/Purdue/Maryland.

No one with the capability of turning that manure pile around (I question whether it's possible at all) is going to even take Trev's phone call.

I have heard this argument before and don't buy it at all. Nebraska is still a name. Its tarnished, but any up and coming coach will remember what they used to be. They have first class facilities and unlimited resources for Trev to dangle. As much as I hate the Sand People, 90,000 show up for every game in Lincoln, 80,000 show up for the Spring Game, and they travel better than just about any program out there. The fans and boosters are no joke. Finally, let's not forget that Nebraska plays in the Big Ten West. The only real programs in front of you are a consistently good, but not great, Iowa program, and a slightly better version of Iowa called Wisconsin. I don't see that NW or Minny are scaring anyone off. Name another Power 4 program outside of the PAC 12 that has a clearer path to a conference championship game.

I think there would be plenty of interest in being the Head Bugeater. But, let's just hope that Trev keeps the trend going and once again Nebbie picks a shitty coach.
