Please, PLEASE erase the doubt that really crept up on me tonight about you. I've supported you through and through, but tonight really has me questioning some of your decisions.

-Why is McCabe seeing so much playing time if he's not hitting his 3's?

-What happened to Gabe? He was playing spectacular, but mostly absent in the 2nd half. WHY?

-Why do you not have a leash on Marble whatsoever? That's 10 turnovers in the last 2 games now. Pull him out and coach him up. He's barely shooting over 40% from the field. Not from 3, from the FIELD. Let some other guys try to do too much instead, because Dev is not clutch. Sad, but true. He's just not.

/rant. Just had to get that off my chest.

I agree. This team has turned into a very average team with no real floor leadership. The bright spot is Oleseni and the semi-improved play of Woody. White and Marble are lacking as floor leaders. McCabe, well he is a senior so he apparently deserves more playing time. Poor shooting, poor coaching and the typical Hawkeye team that wets it's pants and freezes up on the big stage. Might as well accept a 10 or 11 loss team in the middle of the pack and a one and out in the BTT and NCAA Tournaments. Oh well, football is only 8 months away.

I understand why Fran does the whole 3 fouls sit thing but Gesell was on the pine for way to long. He has most of the leadership with the ball. You have to play him in a tight game like that.

When Iowa hired Fran and ISU hired Fred I thought Fran was the no brainer best head coach but I'm thinking Fran could learn a lot from Hoiberg. Look at what Hoiberg's done in Ames - win, tournament appearances, gameplan, player personel, and recruit (he's about to land the #7 recruit in the country). I just want Iowa to be what Iowa State has been. Can't Iowa have nice things like that?

Heck no! I would have loved to have seen both Woody and Olaseni in there. Woody could stop Williams.

I don't think he knows how to fix it. He's gotta be hoping they win 2 more and trip into the dance just to get some heat off him. This team is what it is, looking forward to next season. Our best talent is young and should do better next year

I have said from the pre-season our rotation and depth is going to cause us fits down the stretch. You are seeing it happen right now before our eyes. Olaseni has no rhythm to his minutes at all, heck the announcers said tonight that Iowa is not even the same team without him on the floor. McCabe getting minutes, Ogelsby getting minutes, Jok getting minutes...too many bodies and we need to settle on a rotation of 8 to 9 tops and the rest are gravy train minutes. Until this happens we will flounder and not have an identity. When we go with Marble running the show we turn into a dribble fest, and Craft made us pay for that with strips. We are weak, and a physical style of play simply kills us. We are what we are folks!

I don't disagree with that at all. He gives up defensive position way too easily. Once he gains a little more muscle, he could be dominant. He's really flashing lately.

Same here, and I don't like it. Hopefully they win on Saturday so all is right again. I'm not counting them out, but I'm starting to have doubt creep in. I hate it. Make me a believer again, Fran, please!

Ah, don't give up yet! Lots of basketball left. This team will keep on fighting. They just have to get out of their own heads first.
