Fran talked about bright spots in the game...

I love dolph mentioned the 1-3-1 right away...and Fran basically interupted him and said " it wasn't the 1-3-1". Love his Passion...but....it was the 1-3-1..

I thought ESPNU having the foresight to show the end of the Murray State CLASSIC was a bright spot.

I think what he was saying was that it wasn't their defense that was stopping us, it was us not making the correct decisions to break the defense. He was saying that they had prepared the team to break the defense and they had everything given to him to win tonight and just couldn't get it done. Fran's not the kind of coach that says "yep 1-3-1, we can't beat that", Fran would say "we can absolutely shred that D up and tonight we couldn't get it done but in the future we will. And we will get better"

Ya, love the bright spots after a 20 point loss to a doormat. Low expectations, low results.

What are you talking about? If you told me that Iowa would be 5-7 in the B10 at this point of the season, I would've taken it in a heart beat. If you expected more than that then you don't follow Iowa bball all that closely. Stuff like this happens when you don't have much talent.

Fran is a genius for getting this team to 13-12 at this point in the year. If we have a winning record at the end of the season, well, that's outstanding.

Im surprised White and Basabe didnt do more against the defense from the NW big men.

Looked more like a problem of getting them the ball in position. NW is really poor on D down low, I thought Basabe could have had 20+ easily.... and not just getting a few late buckets in slop time.

This game was on the Iowa PGs

We could not crack that 1-3-1. Fran thought we should have handled it. Not a happy camper.

NW has the 4th best RPI in the league...not a doormat.

This. It amazes what some people expect from this team.

I thought Iowa would play with a big more spark this year. They have been blown out 9 times already this year. I figured they would stick in closer in some games.

After watching them play Michigan, I figured they were really on the way up.

Serious ?- What did you expect going into the season? .500 in the B10? I'd say that anybody who legitimately expected any more than 7 wins needs to lay off the crack pipe. And the season isn't over btw.
