Just like I thought he would. He has the team/players he wants.

In the words of @hawkdrummer1, we’re just too white. This squad doesn’t have the physicality to come out and play man against P6 basketball players, and we all saw what happened when they play zone. Cook wasn’t some brick wall defensive player either and he’s likely gone anyway. This is really a matter of recruiting a bunch of young, skinny shooting guards and trying to miracle them into playing forward. The Big Ten is too fast and physical nowadays, and the other conferences are even tougher yet. Recruiting bean pole Iowa AAU kids, who play other Iowa bean poles and way overmatched high schoolers doesn’t cut it anymore. They should improve some based on the experience of the players they have coming back (hopefully including Cook) but we've been through what needs to be done ad nauseum. I will stick with the prediction of a 7-8 finish in the BIG which would leave them on the outside looking once again for the Dance. It would be nice to see them force some dribble drive to go east and west once in a while and challenge a post player at the rim once in a while.
You might enjoy a little crow over time. Weiskamp is one of the highest rated recruits to ever come to Iowa city. Let him play a year or two before saying how awful he is going to be. Nunge is a big and will get much better over time. His ceiling is quite high. Uthoff wasn’t dominating right away either. Was Jared terrible too since he wasn’t black? In the words of @hawkdrummer1, we’re just too white. Garza was a good grab, but Nunge, the McCafferys, and Wieskamp ain’t the answer. Yeah they look like Dr. J playing AAU ball, but that doesn’t translate to this level. Someone needs to be a physical presence down low and someone needs to be a threat to come meet players up top and stop drives, threaten steals, etc. None of our incomers are that.

How is Wieskamp not the answer? If we had 5 people as skilled as him at their position, we would win conference titles and final 4s.
This may all come to fruition. Or it may not. They could finish dead last or as high as fourth or fifth. You didn't bring it up, but I'm also not buying that Fran is going to spend the next couple of years coasting on his contract. This is his livelihood. Whack an assistant? Probably should have happened, but it's not going to.In the words of @hawkdrummer1, we’re just too white. Let's see just how good he turns out to be. (I'm hoping very.) But you still need a roster full of talented athletes, players who can not only shoot but play hard-assed defense, athletic players, to win the conference championship and compete in the Final Four. It can't just be a bunch of skinny white AAU players.Sure am. If you have to ask that, you don't know much about Wieskamp.

There aren’t many people who like me; every little bit counts.Donte Divincenzo(sp?) loves you man.
Already fell.So I am confused. Is the sky the limit now, or is the sky falling?

The sky is the limit if the skies are black. So I am confused. Is the sky the limit now, or is the sky falling?
That depends entirely on the individuals knowledge of the game of basketball. The ceiling for this team is the 5th floor of a 20 story building, in my opinion. So I am confused. Is the sky the limit now, or is the sky falling?
