Flyover Video

You shouldn't speak of things you have no clue about. Tight and low altitude formations are used to elude radar. It's used in enemy territory when our jets are wanting to be unnoticed by radar or hide the number of jets in the formation. Please stop showing your ignorance and SHUT UP. You call us Proles I think you need to look in the mirror

The United States will never fight another war where its boys are expected to fly under enemy radar in furtherance of national defense but good for you for believing that we might.

Here's what I took from the "ground floor" of the stadium.

Oh OK so now you're the military expert! How many military tactics classes have you taken and how many years have you been active??? War adapts and changes daily/monthly as we've seen the last few years. You have no idea how many anti aircraft weapons are available to primitive lands. Most work by tracking radar signatures so you must use limited radar when flying. Thus fling low in a tight formation is very important. I can't explain it any more but I can tell you now a days we must train for every situation. I'm done commenting on this!!!!! This discussion has lost it's usefulness due to your obvious lack of knowledge in this field.

Don't forget to add that this is military promotion. It helps motivate others to join as well as pays tribute to those who do something meaningful with their life. With some of your opinions on here I view your money spent to have access to the internet as wasteful spending.

OK4prez- I was in the South End Zone Row 39 (out of 40), no seat donation...total prole. The flyover made my head hurt for awhile. Do I have recourse?

There's another one on YouTube that's taken from the press box. If I had been sitting up there, I'd have had to change my shorts.

I'm glad you've bought into the need for a gigantic world police level military rather than a constitutionally mandated defense force. No "primitive land" will ever pose a threat to the sovereignty of the United States of America. There is one credible national defense threat out there, China. You fly your boys that low over China and you might as well just have the towncar with the top brass waiting at the family's house to inform them of the bad news. That's why GD, Boeing, Lockheed, Raytheon, etc. are developing drones and bad*** missiles. It ain't 1943. Don't mistake my desire for small government as anti-military, it is anything but, however, with the sheer size of government spending, "nice to haves" like air shows and buzzing the tower at sporting events should be easy, low hanging fruit to start whittling down the size of big government.

LOL KOK it never ceases to amaze me how many willing takers you get.... of course this comming for the guy who argued with you for 3 weeks about the tailgate rules.

not bad seats

Great view of the band, opposing fans to right, and can always see the expression on the faces of our players (and on the other team) when they make a touchdown. And as much as DuaneTwill hates it, one step away from being on the field!!

There is one thing that caught up with us from WWII to the Vietnam war, and that was our dog fighting skills whilst in air combat. There will never be any substitute for these skills. Just ask why the first few months of BOTH wars we currently are fighting were so successful? Our Air Support.

What you are saying is just like being the tallest Mother Facker on the basketball court but NOT practicing or preparing to rebound, just because you are tall. Now you arive at my point, just because we are on top now for the air, land, & sea; does not mean that we do not try to sustain and make improvements in areas where we would still have an advantage against even the stoongest of opponents. Just because you can throw a 100 MPH fastball does not mean you can stop improving your technique? Unlike the Hawkeyes, the USA thrives (almost insatiably) to be innovative and on top of millitary tactics.

OK4P you have failed miserably, but the comical side of this is reading your countless rebuttals that have absolutely no point/reason in them. :) cheers to your efforts though.

BTR,

Have no fear....no tax-payer money was technically wasted on the flyover.

Thanks to peerless Republican oversight and fiduciary vigilance, money was actually saved.

You see, the incoming gov will veto the dumb@ss $312million train sham between IC and Chicago. Thus, despite the $250K spent on the "Let's-Kick-OSU's-Butt" flyover, we're still going to realize a $311,750,000 plus-up in the coffers.

Welcome back Branstad!

Just because you lack the intellectual capacity to understand the rationale of people like me who believe that the military should be used for national defense and that the federal budget should be trimmed doesn't mean that my rebuttals have no point. And I'm glad to hear the US had air superiority over the mighty Vietnamese, who also posed no threat to the sovereignty of the US. Hell, we could probably slash the military to a less than a quarter of its current size, the only actual national defense threat is China and since they own half the country through Treasuries and Agency debt, they probably aren't going to blow us up. Right Wing Party of Big Government national defense at its finest, sell the country to your biggest potential enemy so they have no economic incentive to attack you.

Oh man, the football train is off the table? I would have maybe used that once or twice a year to go to a game, I bet it would cart in excess of 10,000 people a year making it a bargain at any price.
