Fire Levar Woods

B. Ferentz wasn't gifted anything. He coached for the Patriots--does Kirk have any connections with the Patriots? No. He coached O-Line at Iowa. Does Kirk have any connections with the Iowa O-Line? No. He fought off many other quality candidates to win the OC position. Was the hiring process completely impartial? Of course! This is Iowa afterall. Give Brian a break, he's earned it.

BF was GIFTED the OC job, nobody else would hire him for that position PERIOD....and there was NO reason he should have got the job except that little old daddy wanted to gift him the job PERIOD!

You want to know a difference between Iowa and Wisconsin? Wisconsin will fire underperforming coaches if they suck. Remember 2012? Here's a little story to refresh your recollection: http://www.espn.com/college-footbal...dgers-fire-offensive-line-coach-mike-markuson

That team went on to hang 70 on Nebraska in the B1G title game and went to the Rose Bowl.

So, you (and, apparently, TK) have determined through your ultimate wisdom that W has done a good job of clearing out underperforming coaches and KF has not. Then you give us one example from 6 years ago. Nice try.

Well, the other evidence would be that they have been in 4 Conference Title Games bince that firing and they are in the driver's seat for a 5th, so they must be doing something right. How many has Kurt been to bince 2012? Oh yeah, 1, the year Wisconsin fumbled on the goal line and somehow lost to Iowa.

No, bud, the posts implying that Brian Ferentz gained his employment through any means other than hard work, success, merit and a stellar track record are all candidates for dumbest comment of 2018.

He was given the OC job and wasn't on success or merit, it was 100% on old daddy being his head coach period...there were MUCH better candidates that KF decided his little old son was better as a yes man then them !

Changed your argument, huh? Yeah you are correct. After many years of Hayden beating the crap out of Bucky, they have improved and taken it to the Hawks. But, there a likely a lot of reasons for that. Not a change in the line coach from years ago. I am just as frustrated as you are about our record against W. I live in W. and have to listen to their drivel ad nauseum. The worm will turn again.

PRETTY HARD TO SAY THAT WHEN THERE WAS A SEARCH COMMITTEE THAT DID NOT CONTAIN KIRK AND KIRK HAS RECUSED HIMSELF FROM ALL DECISIONS INVOLVING BRIAN.

I didn't change my argument. My argument is that the one time Wisconsin has rolled into the season with a really subpar unit they made a change immediately and it worked. That's what championship caliber programs like Wisconsin do. Best way to get everyone's attention is to shoot the guy sitting next to them in the back of the head after a colossal f*ck up.

so when wisconsin is -3 in TO, we're lucky. When we are-3, we suck. And that fumble at the one you reference was triggered by Meir who made an incredible play.

And, Woods is the guy that prepared the team for the polecat vs OSU, and despite a bad punter in 2017 manufactured a way to have one of the best net punting averages of any cover team in the conference. He is the lead recruiter on many players that some of you salivate over. He is A SIGNIFICANT reason Eppy is at Iowa. Eppy's family wanted to know LeVar's long term intentions in addition to total respect for Iowa and C Ferentz. Lead guy and the closer on Noah Fant. There are others. So, just shut down your ill tempered, mean spirited, uniformed, and pathetic rants.

Virtually EVERY player that played has a play they like back that could have made a difference in a tight game. Some of you jock sniffers(Coach Fry's term for losers like you in this thread) are deplorable.

It's clear from your post you have plenty of errors in judgment. The kid's that made a mistake, were up at the crack of dawn to fix fix them. You, just a little jock sniffer throwing fire bombs at those that have forgotten more about football than you will ever know. Go away.

The fumble at the goal line by Wiscy in 2015 and the one off the punt blocker's foot were both about as fluky. Iowa probably won in 2015 because of that flukiness, Wiscy won last Saturday because of the same kind of flukiness. Push

That's ridiculous. The kids at Iowa are plenty smart. Smart kids make mistakes in the heat of competition too. Look no further than the Ivy League or Northwestern for proof.

Beyer's play was just a lack of situational awareness. It was by far the most dumbfounding and maddening mistake of the game. It definitely stands out like a sore thumb, but Beyer is not stupid because of it. Yes even I could not stop myself from calling him a dumb ass during the game, but not after rational thought was resumed.

G-wig isn't stupid either they just need to focus on those ball security drills with him. I bet you he doesn't fumble another return his whole career barring a situation where he gets absolutely smoked. Hard to blame a guy if he drops a ball when getting hit by a truck.

if an 8th grader does the same shit, that 8th grader is on the bench for the rest of the season. That is drilled into you from early on in middle school. NEVER TOUCH A PUNT AFTER IT HAS CROSSED THE LOS.

In high school we were coached to fall on any loose punt.

You can bench someone all you want from a mistake there is no guarantee that teaches them anything. Or you can address it. Show the player the tape. Break down the mistake. Talk about the keys that Beyer should have been reading to be aware of what was happening. We could just kick Beyer off of the team and then replace him with some other young inexperienced guy and kick him off the team when he makes a mistake too.

OR WE CAN MAKE BEYER GET A PART TIME JOB AND REIMBURSE EVERYONE WHO PAID FOR A TICKET THAT NIGHT THE COST OF THEIR TICKET AND THEN HAND WRITE AN APOLOGY LETTER TO EACH AND EVERY MEMBER OF THE TEAM, EVERY FAN AT THE GAME AND EVERY FAN WATCHING ON TV. IF YOU JUST KICK GUYS OFF THE TEAM, THE LESSON ISN'T REALLY LEARNED BY THE REST OF THE TEAM AND IT DOESN'T ADDRESS THE RESTITUTION ISSUE WITH THE FAN BASE.
