I think this is a good thing because the coach can't fight or file a complaint if she ever wants to coach again. That would effectively place the Scarlet Letter on her for other ADs. This investigation allows the coach, players and AD/other employees to be interviewed by a 3rd party. The truth will come out that way. Barta can't intimidate or influence these interviews when future federal funding is on the line.

I think a lot of us are wondering why the US gov't is spending resources on this. What is the wrongdoing the gov't is trying to convict?

Lol look at you picking who you go after based on your personal beliefs. If you bothered to read my previous posts, I actually held off getting involved in the political debate but someone else kept going. I appreciate you offering advice to me but maybe save for someone else who actually asks for it.

Someone earlier on this thread mentioned a facist state. An good example of a facist state (like Nazi Germany) is a state that picks and chooses the laws they want to enforce and makes up others they enforce... like today, in America. Sorry for ruining your day, try not to let it affect your entire weekend. You can call me wingnut hypocrite as many times as you want, it doesn't mean what I said isn't true. I never told him not to rant, I merely suggested he add a few facts to it.

Read the thread. I stayed out of politics all together, going after both political sides. I am responding to YOU cause you came after me in this thread. If some other wing nuts come after me like you (and yeah the hole Bush lied, soldiers died is full of lies and is just wingnut stuff) then I will respond to them as well.

PS, the day some wingnut spouting off ruins my day, will be when h*ll freezes over.

Well you sure are getting all bent out of shape if it hasn't ruined your day. If you are coming after me, why don't you stick to the topic we were discussing rather than coming after me for an entirely different discussion I was having with someone else?

Back to Barta, you are just as nuts. He fired a coach, and he can do so for any reason and just for sneezing if he wants.....as long as he didn't fire her because she is a woman or a lesbian.

As far as the firing goes, if a double standard exists (which it sounds like that's what the Griesbaum camp believes) then Barta could find himself in some hot water. I believe that's what you may have been alluding to there, which is what I was getting at several pages ago.
 
Isn't this all a win-win. Either nothing happens, or GB gets fired, which it seems like most want to happen.

I'll admit, I know next to nothing about this situation except what I read on here.

By the way, there is a double standard in athletics on almost every college in America, I thought this was common knowledge. I'm not talking about gender, I'm talking about revenue producing sports vs. Non revenue producing sports. Everybody knows that, right?

How can there be a double standard when Barta has shown that he treats all of his coaches differently? I don't know if there is an AD on the planet that could possibly honestly say that his head football coach is treated the same as his gymnastics coach. What they need to prove is that he fired Griesbaum SOLEY because she was a female.

As far as the wingnut stuff goes, we have reached an impasse. You seem to think that a favorite liberal wingnut conspiracy is true, and I don't believe ANY wingnuts (conservative or liberal).
