I was prepared to rant on a coaching staff that was clearly out-prepared and out-worked tonight. I was prepared to launch about our confusing, contradictory and almost comical player packages that almost guarantee failure before the ball is snapped. I was really prepared to single out the use of Damon Bullock as proof that we don't know what we are doing. And I don't even want to start on this business of fiddling around with that final field goal.
I had only one caveat. I had hoped that Hawk fans weren't foolish enough to think that one of our biggest problems is having (what they think is) the wrong QB in the game.
Shame on me. It's always the QB, right??? Uh, no.
We have a lot of positions with problems (like two lines that were getting obliterated today; receivers that seemed like scrubs next to the ISU wide-outs; and much more). And today, poor Big 12 officials didn't help (though I refuse to blame them for losing). But QB? Don't go there, folks. There are 300 other things we need to address first.
