Can I get my name changed to clonetransplant? I am so embarrassed being a hawkeye fan I don't want to be called Hawktransplant on here anymore.
You gotta live the name your mom and dad gave you....

I agree with everything you state here. There are positives happening. However, I'm to the point that I'm tired of talking about moral victories.
Losers sit at home and talk about moral victories. Winners get to go bowling and boink the homecoming queen.
Don't sound like you are in the middle to me. That's good because folks that play in the middle of the road get run over. There are a lot of really negative posters here, and there are some overly optimistic posters. I tend to be in the middle. What frustrates me is that we now lose so many close games. There seems to be major poor coaching decisions made throughout these close loses. That's on KF. And I still can't figure out why we refuse to throw to the TE more than 14% of the time?? With that said, I like JR, I like the running game, and I think the defense has hope (if the secondary gets it figured out.) If the coaching staff get get their stuff together, we could have have a decent season. I'm just not ready to blindly believe they will.
I wouldn't put Minnesota in the group of teams Iowa doesn't do well against. They lost two in a row they shouldn't have but they are 8-3 since 2002 against them.
Indiana they are 6-3 with the only losses coming in the down years 2006, 2007, an 2012.
ISU they are 6-5 against since 2002.
But Northwestern there is definitely a a problem. 3-6 since 2002.
The only years that they have a losing record against these teams on one season was last year and 2006 the two losing seasons since 2002
The years they have had winning record against them during a season are 2002, 2003, 2004, 2008, 2009. The best teams under Kirk.
In 2005, 2007, 2010, and 2011 they had a .500 record against those teams. I think the one outlier there is the 2010 team but the loss to Minnesota that year was due to players just mailing it in.
Okay, so I guess I lean a little more anti-Ferentz, but all hope is not completely gone yet. I'll save that for after we lose to Clown U. Then I will probably be one of the more negative posters on the board.Don't sound like you are in the middle to me. That's good because folks that play in the middle of the road get run over.

Might as well shut the board down if we lose to Clown U. Cereal, brah. Can you imagine how bad I'll be that Sunday and Monday? I usually manage to get back on the bandwagon by Thursday at the latest, but I will prolly get banned if we lose to the Clowns again.
Bad losses happen to every team. Just not twice a year every year. The same way.
dumb hawk fans that cant complain about 7 game losing streaks and losing to MAC teams at home....
silly silly
Some people are just in denial - but I can see the good in it.... just with I could somehow believe it myself.
How the heck can you complain about 3 top ten finishes, several bowl wins and an Orange Bowl win? Believe it.
4 top ten finishes.
4 top ten finishes.
I'm wondering, in which span of time did Pat FitzGerald produced four (4) Top Ten (10) finishes?
Huh, pussycat?
