What games do you think will be really great games. I really believe we beat we NIU in the opener and have a better season than most expect. Our O Line should be very good and I expect our Offense to be much better based on a strong running game and nice PA passing.

I think the NIU game will be a close win. I think we beat ISU, and I think we upset Michigan to make it to a News Year Day bowl next year. I might still be drunk from a wild New Years but I think we get a solid running game from Wiesmann and Bullock next year and the passing game can't get worse. The D Line is another year improved and we win some games on the foot of our kicker late instead of the way it went this year.

Thoughts??

After how we looked this year, unless one of our QBs channels their inner Peyton Manning and we somehow find a Michael Crabtree type WR on our bench, 5-7 is the ceiling.

You are right about the returning players. You'd think the team would be better athletically. However, you still got ferentz as coach. Remember that Iowa is at a coaching disadvantage before they even take the field. It's similar to them starting the game a touchdown behind before the kick off with ferentz as coach.

The players have to play that much better to win. This is why it will be very difficult for them to ever be winners again as long as ferentz is there. The Iowa players are essentially playing against the opponent and their head coach.

12 for 12. Cant think anything less. Have you ever seen a Hawk mad? You would not like them mad. HAWK smash.

It's not too far of a stretch to believe they will lose the last six games of the season.

There's really no way to know how good the team will be until we know what Iowa is going to get out of the qb position. I agree, the OL and running game should be solid, but the most important position is still an unknown.

True and I just can not believe any of those qbs are worse than James.

Deja vu all over again. We thought the message boards were hostile this year. Yikes. There would be so many
**** in so many posts it would take a decoder ring to know what is being written.

Pretty much agree here...maybe 6-6. A bowl game would be a HUGE over-achievement.

I see about 10 winnable games, and about 10 potential losses. QB play really is going to decide the season. There is the potential to be better at practically ever position on the field other than probably Center, and FB if BR's career is over.

This is the way I see it as well.

If I go on here and say Iowa drastically improves and wins 8-9 games, they will win 2-3. If I say they will win 2-3 they will probably win 8-9 games. So I think they will be 5-7 next season and depending on how the offense and defense look going into '14 depends on the level of meltdown on this board. Oh who am I kidding unless they win 7 + games next season it will be a meltdown on here.
