Early look at next years football schedule..............

4-8 or 5-7 probably. We are on our way to Colorado football. Once respectable but spiraling down. (I'm an optimist too. Last year I picked us to go 8-4 with a chance at 9-3)

My nightmare is we go 8-4 and go to a bowl and are just as bad as this year...no real improvement. Same maddening stuff.

All I know is that I'm sure Kurt has some tricks up his sleeve for ol' Urban. He's not going to know what hit him when the Kurt-GD braintrust rolls into C-bus next year. We'll show them who the real #BulliesoftheB10 are on 10/19/13.

You are right about the returning players. You'd think the team would be better athletically. However, you still got ferentz as coach. Remember that Iowa is at a coaching disadvantage before they even take the field. It's similar to them starting the game a touchdown behind before the kick off with ferentz as coach.

The players have to play that much better to win. This is why it will be very difficult for them to ever be winners again as long as ferentz is there. The Iowa players are essentially playing against the opponent and their head coach.

FreedComanche

Is "freed comanche" foreign for "paint chips are yummy"?

Six wins tops ... and that is only if we get back to protecting the home turf. I know I am being generous with guesstimating 6 wins but I have to hold out faith we can at least win two more games than we did this year ... In reality ... all of these games are scary!

Most of all I want them to punish Western Michigan. They need to go all out, use flea flickers whatever they have to do. These pesky directional Michigan teams need to be taught a lesson that they will never forget! We need to come out fast, and run up the score in the way that Fry would have. It will get the team aggressive and motivated. Run it up in the neighborhood have 54-0 before pulling the starters. In the same way we taught Tulsa a lesson in 1997. Maybe Weisman could even break banks record while we are at it.

It wouldn't surprise me to see this team go 10-2 or 2-10. That's football. And especially Iowa football.

I think we lose to N Ill, possibly convincingly, and the season completely falls apart before it even gets started. I see a 2-2 non-con at best, I don't know where we pick up 4 conference wins. OSU and Neb are guaranteed losses on the road, we haven't won in Minneapolis in awhile and I don't see that changing, Purdue is a toss-up but I will be there and we have lost my last 3 road games in brutal fashion (Indiana '12, Minnesota '11, Northwestern '10). We might get a couple at home, but no way we sweep MSU, NW, Mich, and Wisc, 3 of whom look to be head and shoulders better than us. It's actually a pretty daunting schedule when you look at it.
