Ben Jacobson has been .500 or better in conference play every single season at UNI. That is really impressive.

So has Fran since his first 2 seasons, and UNI was in pretty good shape when Ben took over. It's not that impressive if you're in the get rid of Fran camp.

I did watch the MN game. They stayed in the game because MN shot 27.8% from 3 and Drake made 7 more 3s than Minny did.

Of their guards the only guy with an assist to turnover ratio above 2 averages only 5PPG. Their top guard Timmer was completely shut down by Minny in this one.

That’s why I find it funny. People making sweeping judgements based off of one game. There are exceptions, but for the most part there is a reason why these guys are mid major players.

Hahaha that’s awesome. That totally backfired in @Hawk5656 troll face.

Yesterday he was bashing Fran saying he’s only had three B1G seasons with a winning record, knowing he also had two 9-9 seasons. Today when he needs to make a point for another troll, he uses .500 or better as his barometer. Funny how numbers work for trolls.
 


Drake can totally beat Iowa. People will be pissed. I will be too...but..If they beat Drake - it will be without a doubt their most impressive win. Which is a story of this season thus far, but you gotta start somewhere. Get this one and continue to build on it.

Personally, i don't think Connor is the answer for guarding teams with quick guards...that problem is going to be on going. My hopes is the staff and team will adjust enough to make it not matter enough and can still win games. So far not the case.

I heard that Drake's PG's shoes smoke after a game, he's that quick. He probably will beat Iowa by himself, he'll just blow past everyone because Fran has recruited all these sub par players that don't belong on a D1 court.

There are no Ferentz children playing WR for Kirk. So, there is a big difference here. IF Fran is still the coach after Conner is gone, I fully expect to see Fran sign some quality combo guards.
 


If Drake is hitting their 3 pt shots, we lose. That's it and that's all. We have entirely too many defensive lapses and turnovers to win this game if they are knocking down 3s.
 


Was surprised when I heard the line was Iowa -6. Drake has more quality wins than we have. But then any team with one quality win meets that description.

Shut down Timmer and Woodward or McMurray will kill you. The 4 Drake guards had 16 assists to 5 to's in Williams arena. I am just sayin', only an idiot thinks Drake is an underdog in this game.

Well Vegas, Ken Pomeroy, Jeff Sagarin, and myself are all idiots then. I think Iowa wins this one rather handily.

I think Drake is going to struggle controlling Iowa's inside game and Cook and Garza should have plenty of good looks. Cook I think will have a really good game, like 20+ pts. Actually think he may get a double-double.

Coaches should be going inside in this one, if not, one really has to question.
