DOG POUND

You're the guy that was defending Barta. Nothing more needs to be said.
No, I defended the fact that contracts are out whack - I also back peddled and said I agreed with others after reading more facts. Is that ok to do or you tell me what I should I think

No, you defended him over and over. Like I said, sports isn't your thing. Stick to music.

Maybe you should try watching him in person and make up your own mind.

I've watched his film. I am also not an expert in basketball like you. I do take what you say with respect and honestly, you're takes are typically good. You do know more about basketball then me. I would never argue that fact. I just think that calling him the most over rated player in the country knowing you can't possibly have the basis, time or knowledge to make that statement, yet call me out for not knowing shit is rich.

I said the take was lazy. I've changed my stance.... mostly because you guys helped CHANGE it.

So I can't be an Iowa fan or voice my opinion on something? Got it. This is silly - you have your opinion - i have mine but I don't want you to stick to sports, you can say whatever you wanna. I will go ahead and share my opinion too.

Who are the other 23 invitees and where are they ranked in the 2019 recruiting class?

Honest, non-snarky question. That context is relevant in my opinion.

Good question - honestly don't know. I just know it's a big deal to get invited. Happy for him. When I see Patrick - i see a skinny white kid who looks like he's a baby deer who hasn't grown into his frame. I see him and I am very underwhelmed. But I don't know. I don't have all this expertise that you guys do, so someone sees something in the kid and I have a hard time swallowing it's because of that great Fran McCaffery name.

I'm probably the only person in this thread that's seen PMac play in person multiple times. I bet the douchenozzles that selected PMac for this event haven't even seen him play in person...
You're not the only person in this thread that's seen PM play in person, multiple times. I can't speak for the people that schedule the invites for that event.

I've also been in the camp that his last name is a big reason for his ranking. But InGoodCo has a point. Does anyone really care about the Fran McCaffery name? Are sons of coaches with average talent normally bumped to top 50 status? I really dont know but i doubt it. I would still say it helps his rating a little. But you have to question how much. The over rated kids are the ones who can dunk really well but can't really play basketball.

I'm sure it helps and has SOMETHING to do with it as far as getting him looks- I just can't believe that's the only reason ... or that he's the MOST over rated player in the country. I can't imagine that mostly because to say something like that, you'd pretty much have needed to see every player in the country play. But again, you guys are the experts, so I do tend to accept your takes on him as well.... it just seems extreme.

ESPN had Connor as a 5* and top 25 at one point. Do you believe CM was ever, at any point, a legit top 25 kid?

That was after his Freshman year, he fell like a rock even on ESPN - I bet they thought about just keeping him at 25 because of Fran tho

Or maybe they learned their lesson with Connor by dropping him and said ... "We're not gonna make this mistake with another McCaffery kid, let's keep him ranked as high as possible because ya know who is dad is right? White Magic."
