Does eno sign with iowa

"I'll always remember my time as a hawk"...uh what? I don't ever remember you in a uniform? Anyways...I guess this is the world we live in.

If you don't want to be a hawk....don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya!

I think you miss the point. He was a better recruiter than the staff was and for them to push him away because of the other visits is downright stupid

No it's just another example of the kids of this generation quitting at the first sign of adversity...I take a lot of issue with his acting like he was a hawk...he was obviously never a Hawk...if you support the people of this state...the people will have your back until the end...

That is the mindset that gets you seasons like this

Well...frankly I don't really blame our coaches....and I was as ticked off watching that offensive display as anyone...but...if you're committed you're committed...you're not "well I'm with you until I get a better offer"....or "I'm with you until you lose a game and times are tough"....It's probably why the divorce rate is so dang high in this country....no one knows what that means anymore....

Right. It is how it is, so you either adapt or you die off. You don't use anecdotes from 1978 to think about the way it should be. We thought ferentz made some of those adjustments last year, but sadly he didn't

Sadly Kirk just isn't willing to do this. I have no doubt the guy can develop players and knows the fundamentals, Xs & O's etc. The guys knows how to win. The program was dead when he got here.

But he just doesn't adjust to what's going on around him. He believes his way of work hard, develop, execution will win the day.

In today's world of prima-dona athletes, that just isn't the case anymore. You have to be able connect with a generation 1/3 your age, stoke egos, and develop chemistry within a group of alpha males. I think Kirk fails in each of these areas.

Wow, first time posting here! If Eno cared what we posted on this site he would be gone! Along with every other recruit, Hawkeye nation is depressing. Why do we as fans want to push away every 17 yr old undecided kid? This recruiting class is huge for the future! IF Eno and his classmates care to read what we have to say. Lets welcome our future Hawkeyes and NFL stars! Eno lead the program!!

According to your favorite poster (Deano) it was the coaches who pushed him out the door.

That is according to other reliable sources, others that do what Rob does here. Tyler Devine got that directly from Eno, and another had said the same thing as soon as it was found out Eno took 2 official visits to other schools.

This is why they need an early signing period. All of this commit, I love the school, team loses a couple games I want to look elsewhere stuff will go away.. If this was in place the kid would have found a reason not to sign in the fall then moved on before the season started..And the reason a kid would want to go to Iowa is because he can play right away for a guy who consistently puts people in the NFL, behind a good-great line most seasons, I don't know what else you'd look for honestly

The problem with an early signing period is what if the recruit changes his mind after he signs early? Then he's stuck going to the school with a bad attitude and not wanting to be there. Do we want that toxic chemistry in the locker room?

Here are two simple changes that need to be made to college football recruiting.

These kids need to be able to make official visits during the summer when they have time to do so. Keeping them from doing so is just stupid. They don't have to try to cram a visit in right after a HS football game and can take some time and enjoy the visit.

Early signing period. Let them sign before their HS Sr. season starts and the beginning of the college football starts. Like an Aug. 10 signing date. It works out great for basketball. Before the college and high school seasons kick in they can sign (if they want) and enjoy their Sr. year in HS.

Yes, it would be up to their parents and coaches to make sure they make an informed and thoughtful decision where they sign. But at least all the hi-jinx and going behind backs would stop. A kid signs somewhere, another coach won't be able to poach them.

This fella was mentioned in the last podcast............

http://247sports.com/player/jordan-rowell-82189

Was also mentioned that the scholarship may go to another position if Hawks are feeling good about depth at the RB position currently. May be a bigger need elsewhere.

The 3 most likely are Soko, Jordan Rowell or Andrew Clair. Now maybe there are others that are under the radar....Or maybe they only bring in one RB and use this scholly on a different position. If that means they can get a big fast playmaking WR, I'm all for it.
