All I know is, there are a LOT of nice, warm and sunny places that I can go in January. Most of them do not involve watching an average team, with a bad coach lose a football game. I'll DVR the game and enjoy an actual vacation.

I went to the 09' Outback Bowl (08' season) and I had a great time. I really wanted to go to the 10' Orange Bowl the next season but the wife had made arrangements for The Dells, way before we started that season 9-0. I didn't have much choice but I had planned on the 11' Bowl game (10' season). However, I was so disgusted with the Iowa admin for the tailgating crackdown and the horrible coaching of what was one of the more talented Iowa teams that KF has ever had....I refused to go. Haven't had a reason to go to another one since. I have spent my holidays in Seattle, Colorado and Florida, every year since. I have a nice ski vacation scheduled in a few weeks, again.
You guys can go to the Bowl game if you choose. I hope you enjoy it and I hope it's not in Detroit.

If they thought they had issues selling student tickets this year or tickets in general just wait until next season rolls around. The marketing department is going to really have to earn their money to get Kinnick to 60K for non conference games and 65K for conference games.

I'm guessing they are looking at least a 5K drop in season tickets if not more.

As I have told friends that want a coaching change, not buying tickets is about the only thing a non major donors can do to really have their voices heard. If you want the coach gone and continue to buy seasons tickets well you are part of the problem not part of the solution.
