Keep CJ healthy and derKirkFeravis behind bars and it'll be top-10 match-up on November 12th, on way to 11-3, overall (lose either at PSU or Michigan; lose to OSU in BTtitle; lose to either Clemson or LSU in Orange).
I'm not convinced either of those will happen.
- The OL has to gel; which WR / TE is gonna average more than 8 ypc? That means more pressure on CJB to scramble, make plays and get hit.
- That's usually the recipe for derKirkFeravis to keep things tight with low-risk ball control and field position.
Although there's plenty of decent RB's to ride, this is NOT smart this year because 1) unproven punter / kickers to obtain field position and 2) the DL lacks an outside pass rush, which will lead to longer drives by the opponent and a tired D late in games, which leads to closer games, which leads to more sphincter clench by derKirkFeravis.
Still, the schedule is favorable enough to sleepwalk to 9-3 / 8-4 (losses at Minny, at PSU, Michigan, maybe Nebby)
