Interesting didn't know any of that. I'll go out on a limb and say KF probably didn't write any recommendation letters on his behalf initially.... But maybe now who knows. Time can heal some of those things. I mean if some folks are forgiving Ronnie Harmon...
Yeah and I'm not one of those on that boat btw. Harmon did that to himself. What he did would be like Jordan scoring 2 points in a finals game when he was perfectly healthy. If people think Jordan retired over gambling reasons what would they have said if Jordan laid an egg like that and lost in the finals...The type of man who would forgive Ronnie Harmon is the type of man, and I use the term loosely, who blames America for starting WWII or says that America deserved to be attacked on 9/11.
It'd be nice to. Wish I could. But man.. Just imagine having the college career he did and have all your success be ignored because of your last game and doing that... That'd be a tough pill to swallow. He had a solid NFL career played quite awhile. But he hasn't felt like he could ever come back to Iowa. What's KFs two cents on him? I can't say I've ever heard him talk about him. If he has I've missed it.Really, really hard to forgive Harmon for the Rose Bowl. I'm still working on it.
But DJK is a really intelligent guy with a big personality. Hopefully, this springboards into something even bigger for him.
DJK came from a broken home and was full of piss and vinegar when he was a kid. Did he sometimes dog it? Yeah, but even greats like my personal hero, Randy Moss, dogged it. Not everyone has that Jerry Rice mentality where they can never turn it off and when you're a guy like DJK who showed he had the talent to be a star at OSU by taking a kick back against them in their own house, it's really hard to keep your focus when working within the confines of a Ferentzian offensive strategy (that was when KOK was running the offense but KF put a lid on it). I don't fault the kid one bit.Really, really hard to forgive Harmon for the Rose Bowl. I'm still working on it.

That's all true with DJKs back round. But there's more to him. While at Iowa he started running with the wrong crowd too. To me that started his (and a whole lot of folks) downward slide with his off the field issues.DJK came from a broken home and was full of piss and vinegar when he was a kid. Did he sometimes dog it? Yes I remember that now too. Now that you mention that. Dang I'd totally forgotten it for a long time though.. He was all pissed and was telling Iowa media folks print and radio that he was going to write a book and basically burn it all down.Didn't he threaten at one point to write a book detailing his time at Iowa and it would include NCAA violations? Yeah, pretty sure he and KF will never be having a beer together.

He backtracked on all that once he realized that everyone hated him and his life was going nowhere but in the dumpster.Yes I remember that now too. Now that you mention that.
