Take it for what it's worth. Let's hope he's right:

Dickerson planned to see more schools before committing to Iowa on his official visit.

"I think he commits once he realizes how important he is (to the Hawkeyes)," Dickerson said.

Dickerson is trying to make his way to Iowa City this weekend but is finding it difficult to set something up for the long trip from North Dakota. He would have to find his own way there as he already used his official visit to the school.

I reckon there must be a Hawkeye in North Dakota who could drive the young man down to Iowa City this weekend? Yep Uh Hmmmm.

North Dakota to Iowa City is a bit of a drive. Hopefully Trey has a friend that wouldn't mind making a road trip this weekend...

Nice find, '77! Man that would be huge to get Atwood. If we grab him I'm feeling pretty good about next year. Excited to see Dickerson with the ball in his hands as well.

Ditto. Losing Marble will hurt but adding Dickerson and Atwood will help shore things up in both the front court and back court IMO. Not that I didn't think the front court would already be solid, but it would be pretty formidable with another big body in there.

They need a consistent defensive stopper/rebounder - someone who can hang with the big bodies from MSU and Wisconsin and any of the other assorted big guys around the league. Think Reggie Evans.

"How important he is to the Hawkeyes" should tell you exactly what you need to know about the talent of the Hawks roster.

Iowa could use a guy like Reggie Evans.. Someone who is a beast on the glass. If I'm not mistaken, the rebounding wasn't great towards the end of this season, either. If Atwood is anything like that, he would certainly fill a need IMO.

I thought our team leader in RPG was under 7 per game. I'd like to see a guy get 8-10+ per game for us.

no

atwood steps in for basabe (undersized 4)

the staff sees uhl as a 3

The limited video on him is interesting. Reminds me Brendan Dawson from MSU, perhaps a touch less athletic. Or perhaps like a way more athletic version of McCabe. Built like an undersized 4, but enough perimeter skills to play away from the basket. Certainly a body-type we are currently lacking.
