Desmond King?

any chance he fumbled the punt out of spite for being benched in the 1st Q today? I dont' think he fumbled one punt all year long until today.
This thought would only be offered by a person that has done, has considered or would consider doing this.

And I think he has dropped 3-4 potential INT in two games?

Those are called pass break-ups and they are good things.

Only one of those are ones that really should have been caught. The others would have been pretty good, but not necessarily spectacular plays IMO.

whos play do question next CJB? He hasn't exactly looked all world lately.

Speaking of CJB there was an interesting comment yesterday early in that game. They stated he might be the healthiest he has been since the injury, but he didn't look that way at all to me. He honestly looked still pretty limited.

Just wait til next week in Indy when there aren't 25 mph winds in his face half the game and the temperature feels like 10 degrees. CJ did what he had to and didn't make mistakes as usual. I think we will see CJ looking a lot more comfortable in a dome.

I am not worried about Desmond King and certainly not worried about his attitude. He still leads the country with picks. To expect him to maintain the pace he was on early would have been ridiculous.

Since Iowa is playing 14 or 15 games this year, he will eventually get #9 and the record all to himself.

If King and Ott come back next year, you have to like our returning defense.

Don't forget about Cooper. He also applied for a medical waiver. Many believe his injury is career ending, but even if he's there to bring along some young pups and give a starter a couple series a game rest, that would be invaluable. Plus, he really appears to be a high character guy, based on the interviews I've heard.

Cooper applied as well? I didn't know that.

That is crazy talk, he ran up hard the ball was knuckling, in the wind, hard slick ball, and you think he is spiteful toward the coaches. No way

This is ridiculous. Is he pressing a little when it comes to #9? I'm sure he probably is. I made the comment during last week's game to a friend that he was going full DJK after he missed his third chance at a pick. I remember DJK against MSU in 2010 was going to break at least one record (receptions or yards, maybe both) with his next reception, and he dropped every pass he had a chance to catch that day.

But his coverage hasn't dropped off. He's still consistently in position to make plays.
