Dayton vs. Illinois (in case you want to see Gregory)

The A10 getting 3 bids actually hurt Dayton. They were in the Top 35 in Pomeroy, and they had a better RPI than Minnesota or Florida (both at large bids).

If Dayton didn't lose those two final reg season games, they'd have been a bit closer to getting a bid.

Sounds like losing the last 2 games actually hurt Dayton. Not the number of bids.

Which team were they talking about that had 4 guys with measured verticals over 40"? Was that this Dayton team? If so,.

Of course it would be nice if they got a bit more conservative to protect the lead at the end of the game. I can see how they could blow leads.

i didn't really know how much i hated Illinois til i started yelling at the screen when they made this little comeback

Losing some focus.....again.

They've been pretty lousy shooting the free ones here in the last couple of minutes.

With this style, I could definitely see it being maddening at the end of close games, because much like teams that use the no-huddle in football, there isn't really a way to shorten the game without coming out of what you do in the offense. Dayton has slowed it down a couple times, but they are a get up and down quick and thrive on taking the quick shot...or so I've gleaned in the 15 minutes I've watched them. :)

Well, it's the first time I've watched them for any length of time and I at least learned one thing...there's no questioning their hustle!

One thing about playing this fast and subbing this much, I think team chemistry might be better...everybody gets to play, everybody gets to shoot, and judging by that photo of them at that boxing gym, seems like a close team. This year, our team played so tightly wound, with such an emphasis on control and the perfect shot, nobody had fun. Dr Toms teams had fun also.
