I can't disclose all the information that I have. It's not to be "that guy", I just can't.
Long and short of it...
Ben did, at one point, want to come to Iowa.
Fran did want Brust to come to Iowa, and he worked on getting Ben to Iowa.
Ben (and family) wanted to explore options after the coaching change.
Coaches contacted Ben and vice versa, some were B1G coaches.
B1G got involved when inter-conference transfer was a possibility.
It got messy at this point (I won't go into detail).
Ben is allow to transfer within the conference.
Iowa would have stopped Ben from leaving and not let him go to another school inside the B1G, but when it got down to it they didn't have the final say in it.
A lot of intricacies involved.
But...
To say Fran didn't try to get him is false.
To say Ben never wanted to come to Iowa is false.
To say Iowa just let him go to another B1G school is false.
Some hands were tied in the matter.
I can't go into more detail than that.
Ben is a Badger, Hawkeye fans need to move on.

When will people learn it's the system at Wisconsin? If it weren't Brust, it would be some other unathletic guy putting up numbers for them.
Brust is nothing special. He'll put up numbers in the Wisconsin system just like other forgettable names have in the past. He'll go through earlier than expected NCAA tourney losses. Then he'll graduate and have zero chance of playing in the NBA. We've seen this routine many times before.
I think my favorite posts on message boards are "You're wrong, but I can't tell you why you're wrong because blah blah blah blah..."
I think Stormin is worried that if he blabs, the he's going to get invited to Duffman's New Beers Eve party.
