Out of the Starters Cook is the worst defender metrically... behind a bench player...

It's hard for me to say any player is the #1 problem... If you break down the film you would see how often Cook often gives very little effort on defense, or makes mental mistakes. But most of the team makes the same mistakes ill give you that... but when our "best" player does it....

What metric has Jordan a better defender than Cook?

As a coach, I can't agree with you. Bohannon's poor defense will always be a drag on the entire team defense. That's the way it works. Teams will just move the ball until they can isolate a guard on Bohannon. Break him down and get into the lane where our post defenders have to try and recover to help. The only way to hide him is in a zone defense. I've played enough man defense and coached enough man defense to know this much.

Jbo is a specialist. He's a pure shooter that can also handle the point on the offensive side with the right players with him.

What he can give you on the offensive side has to put him on the floor. It's up to the coach to make it work on the other end.

Zone is the answer...but not the way we play it....with the bad positioning and over pursuing .

JBo can handle the 1 if you dont count breaking down D. Big oversight.

Kind of. This has somehiw morphed into an assumption I dont like Cook or think the team would be better without him which is not true at all.

Look, with these awards they have to pick someone from Iowa and try to get as many BIG teams represented ad they can. This is why Iowa doesnt have anybody on the 1st or 2nd team. iowa had a bad year and they have to pick someone from Iowa. Hes the most flashy and he had some good games at the end. But, hes still pretty one dimensional and has some holes in his game. He is by far a complete player at this point. I dont think it is really that hard to understand how this chit goes down, as far as awarding conference awards.

I guess we'll just have to disagree on this one because I refuse to believe the coaches in this league are dumb or simplistic. Also you don't have to pick anyone to be on any list. No coach voted for anyone from Rutgers.
