Nice. Van Ness 1st attempt in 40 was 4.64 not bad at all. Best so far was 4.44.
Lukas is listed as 6'5" and 272 lbs. I didn't know he was that tall.
Most ran in the 4.7 to 4.8 range.
4.54That is about what Wadley ran.
4.54
Kind of like splitting hairs..I was thinking it was more like 4.6, but you are right.
If Van Ness goes in the first round...
Have there been other college non-starters who have been first round NFL picks?

Antonio Gates never even played college football at all.Nonstarters even getting drafted is probably pretty rare. That quarterback from the real USC got drafted, but I think it was late. Barry Sanders only started a year and was a first rounder, but he probably would have been a first rounder even if he didn't start a year.
Dang!Antonio Gates never even played college football at all.
I'm guessing Alabama has had some players who never started get picked in the 1st.If Van Ness goes in the first round...

As to Van Ness…Can you read?Van Ness' combine #s didn't sound that impressive, compared to other DE/DLine rushers. According to his agent his biggest strength is his motor -- hard to quantify that at a combine.
Campbell, on the other hand, is simply elite in every way. Hard to imagine a surer bet in the upcoming draft than him, at ANY position.
Interesting story indeed.Antonio Gates never even played college football at all.
Captain Jack
He wasn't drafted though.Antonio Gates never even played college football at all.
