Clowns 1-10

Just curious - ISU's record against fellow bottom feeders:

Indiana: (have not played)
Northwestern: 1-7
Kansas State: 49-43-4 (halfway respectable, but 4-20 since 1990 - ouch!)
Temple: (have not played)
Iowa has has been a little better against this group:
Indiana- 42-28-4
Northwestern- 48-24-3
Kansas State- have we really never played K-State?
Temple- 1-0
Iowa State- 40-21

Most internet posters won't agree, no. That's what fuels internet forums.

Most of the ISU fans I know (if not all) are not internet message board posters. The only thing that the ISU and Iowa rivalry fuels in relations to internet forums is a few pointless posts on this site and CyFan. It definitely doesn't fuel internet message board forums as much as you think. To me the whole ISU vs. Iowa rivalry has lost its fun, too many people take it way, way too seriously and too far.

There actually weren't that many as you want to proclaim.

I would estimate that CyFan had just as many as Iowa sites about the hawks winning 8. To be honest, I though for sure I would be 6-6 (possibly still will be), but has an outside shot at 8-4 still. I thought ISU would win at least 3-4 maybe even 5.

I frequent the orangebloods site being that I live here in Austin and I just cannot convince the guys on the free part of it the clone fans are more delusional and obsessed with big bro than Aggie fans.

Bball related but on cyfan's rivalry board they have a 53 page thread on our basketball recruiting and a 39 page thread dedicated to our basketball team this year.

I looked it up. The average prediction was 6.75 wins with 30% of predictions being 8 or more wins. The worst record predicted was 5-7, and 0% predicted a loss to Iowa.

This thread is for sure just about us Iowa fans being jealous of the tide being turned and ISU becoming the flag ship program right?

Hard not to be jealous of all that momentum they have going up in Ames. If it weren't for the officials, they would be one of the premier schools in college football.

Well they have played the 11th toughest schedule in the country, it would be even higher if they hadn't ****ed up against Tulsa, so they are basically a 7 win team, the program is definitely still going in the right direction.

I'm still amazed that Lazard is committed to ISU. I thought he would jump ship even before they were this bad. Guess some instate commitments are more solid than others!

I can't imagine why a kid this good (if he is indeed this good) would stay with such a pathetic program. He's a legacy right? If it's family pushing him to ISmoo that's borderline child abuse.

I love these feel good threads. Keep repeating the same things over and over to the same people. Don't let that flame burn out fellas!

It's rivalry sports talk. There will always be flaming. If it burns that deeply, maybe you should step away from it a bit. It's just not that big of a deal.

Why are you talking out of both sides of your mouth?

Still think 50K are showing up Saturday night for "The Showdown"?

False, I think I cause one of those threads to be closed: CycloneFanatic

I got one of the posters to bet me that Iowa wouldn't win 9 conference games LOL. I think he started by saying we would win 7, but then back off by a win, so I got it at 9.

Alabama has "Roll, Tide Roll", are we going to see a "Roll, Cy Roll"? 3 NC's in 4 years is on the doorstep in Ames!

Many of the fans are also blaming the season on the coaches. They think they have just as much talent at they did in 2009 when they had 7 wins. I mean seriously, WTF is that? I know that the coaches have felt since last spring that they would struggle, cause what talent they did have was too young. I don't think they saw 1 win year or anything, but they knew it would be a struggle this year.
