Its America. You do what you want. Ben is genius level intelligent and was a hell of a kid. Good family. I didnt like JBo or Garza or Kreiner any of them flexing and all of that bull. Happy for them...happy for the Hawks. Act like you've been there before is the expression.

Huge Hawkeye win! But we did act like it was our "super bowl." I'd like more than beating 6-4 Iowa State. Blowing kisses, flexing, shoes at half court...Bush league. Bush! Jerry Rice. Hank Aaron. Barry Sanders. Take notes. Want more than celebrating a win over ISU. I don't mind emotional, expect great emotion, but not at the opponent. Where are the flexes going to be in the 8-10 BIG losses? It's ok to point it out as trashy. Cuz it kinda was. It's why I hate OSU. Michigan. Miami of Florida. Florida State. Any school where trash talking and me before team is important. Its trashy. Win with dignity. It still feels good. KF wouldnt have that crap. Watch Lombardi's teams. Wooden's teams. Landry. Act like you've been there. We looked like ISU football is what we looked like. Knocked off basketball big brother and took our pants down.

He has a right to call out a kid losing his mind like he just won the lottery making a fool of himself. It's his right. This isnt your special education class where everyone is special. He expressed an opinion about JBo's actions. He was correct in his assessment. Just like you and I hate every trash talking ISU moment over the past few seasons. It's a good rivalry. JBo is excited to win. A winner doesnt act like that though. It was a nice win. He did a self-court storm for beating 6-4 Iowa State. He stormed the court for beating ISU. Good job.

I think you are experiencing an over reaction to what he actually said. He said it was trashy. It was trashy. How do you argue that? I'm a Hawkeye fan too. But the move by JBo and the whole game full of blowing kisses and flexing biceps is trashy. It's not criminal, but it's a bad look. Its trashy. I don't prefer it. I prefer that they celebrate with teammates and act like they know how to win. You can have YOUR opinion. Allow Ben and other sports fans to have their opinions. My style is celebrate the right way. All of what the Hawks did was a circus. Ever seen Hawkeye basketball or football act that way before? When? Its Ocho Cinco kinda crap. Its crap, its trash, its embarrassing.

If we want to be compared to ISU...let's be compared to how successful they have been in the postseason, not how stupid and cocky they look...
ISU in basketball = Wisconsin in football. Both are pl achieving levels of success that we should aspire to or more. All of the extras from the other night smack hard of little brother finally getting a chance to win one (yea, two in a row)

Listen, it is just a bitter old Clown fan being a bitter old Clown fan. I mean I didn't see him calling Niang trash for grabbing players balls, and blowing kisses. He wouldn't have called Morris trash if he would have left his shoes in Carver.
I mean it is what it is. He might be the greatest guy in the world, but even the best people fail as people from time to time. So he could be both things, a super great guy who treated out something idiotic and bitter because of his fandome.

He's already tweeted out he didnt mean offense by it. I haven't talked to Ben in 20+ years. But he's entitled to his opinion. This is not grammar school where you have to be nice. He called it like he saw it. Why cant he share his opinion? What is so important about you or others of us that we have to be butt hurt about another man's opinion? Ignore it. Move on. Someone pull up the Niang thread or the meltdown threads about ISU fans. Let's repost some of our gentlemanly comments about what ISU fans or players said. I'm sure you were all perfectly fine with Georges Niang's actions. Gave him a pass. Werent offended. I was mad as hell post game last year. Dont be hypocrites.

I think you and I are often in different camps but..that's ok. I respect what you say and recognize and appreciate your opinions on here as yours. You are good to have on this board. I like reading your opinions even though they often are at odds with my own. It would be boring on here otherwise. I believe in this case that it's a bad look for Iowa. I don't want to be on ISU comparison level for that kind of stuff. Knowing the kind of person Ben is/was, there's no way he approved of Niang's actions/comments. No way.
