Chris Jans - New Mexico State

He's been winning games everywhere he's been. I'm sure that even at this stage he's wanting more than just NMSt. But I wish him well after screwing up big time @ Bowling Green.

The level of results you deliver is directly proportional to the level of "screw ups" your employer is willing to tolerate.

New Mexico St finished the regular season 27-4. One of those losses was a down-to-the-wire loss at KU. If they win the WAC tournament, they'll be 30-4. Looks like their NET ranking is currently 47.

What does he command in salary?
"Jans is slated to get a raise to $270,000 base salary next year and goes up to $290,000 for 2019-20 and 2020-21. By getting NMSU to the NCAA Tournament in his first season, Jans earned a automatic one-year extension through the 2021-22 season. His base salary for 2021-22 would be $290,000 with his current contract.

Jans also earned a number of bonuses this season, earning $10,000 for winning all four rivalry games (he earns $2,500 for every regular season win over New Mexico and UTEP), $10,000 for winning the Western Athletic Conference regular season championship, $10,000 for qualifying for the NCAA Tournament and $5,000 for being named WAC Coach of the Year.

Jans could also earn a incentive amount equal to 10 percent of that portion of the 2017-18 season's ticket revenue."
