Cartwright - 1st in B1G in Assists last year - this year...

^^Bryce ain't that athletic.

Other than that you are dead on with a lot of what you are saying. He's a terrible transition guard and dribbles to much without going anywhere and doesn't find the open shooters

He has sufficient athleticism. Much more athletic than, say, Jeff Horner, who was an excellent PG for us. Much less athletic players have been better PG's in this conference than Bryce.

Thats a lot of hyperbole spewed by you two there.

I'm no huge Cartwright fan, but I'm not a hater either. Calling him terrible, pathetic, or not even a mid-major player is just ridiculous. Step off the ledge guys.

Bryce Cartwright is not more athletic than Jeff Horner.

Why do you guys keep ripping on Bryce?!? Sure he hasnt been as good this year but he's been dealing with injuries. Plus the last game were everyone was saying how bad he played he had 6 pts, 6 rebs, and 8 asts. Not bad at all.

And horrible turnovers, decisions, and defense.

Wasn't that good last year either. His effeciency is as bad as I've seen at Iowa.

We don't beat Wisconsin at Kohl without Bryce. You cannot discount his injuries this year and makes you wonder what if Cully didn't transfer.

Almost everyone made bad decisions against the NW 1-3-1(except Gatens of course) it wasnt just Cartwright.

You think his poor decisions were made only against Northwestern? Try 90% of the games he played at Iowa - including last year, when Iowa fans highly overrated him because he ran fast and made a few nice passes a game.

We talking faster, quicker? Cartwright is faster and quicker than Horner. It's not even close. If they raced, Cartwright would win in a landslide. I'm not sure Cartwright has better ups though.

Jeff is faster than Cartwright. It takes Cartwright an eternity to get down court. He may be quicker but he should be considering how small he is. He's not a better athlete.

You're not serious, are you?

1.Making poor decisions have NOTHING to do with injuries.

2.Cully Payne?? For realz?? He makes Bryce Cartwright appear to have high basketball IQ. He was worse than Bryce.

Faster and faster to get down the court are two completely different things. Horner gets down the court faster because he actually has the ability to dribble the ball. Cartwright is slow getting down the court at times because he has horrible coordination. Take the ball away and have them race down the court - Cartwright blows him away.

I strongly disagree. Horner was a great athlete. He was no Haluska in the athletic category but he was a step up from BC.

Great athlete? I suppose that's open for debate. I'd say decent enough athlete. But he was tough and, for the most part, a smart basketball player and a pretty good shooter. He had the occasional mental lapses in transition where he would get carried away and try to force a pass down the court, but overall, he had some very high basketball IQ.

I think Cartwright is a lot faster of a runner than you're giving him credit for. I think he looks slower in transition because he's just such a horrible ball handler.

No I'm pretty sure he is saying that you are calling out players without giving them any credit at all for what they have done for the program. Iowa is having a good year so just quit being so negative.

HE HAS BEEN PLAYING HURT!!!!

Perhaps you never watched a game last year when he was healthy at looked damn good.

This group of seniors has been through a ton, they stuck with Iowa through all the turmoil, and are going to graduate. They represented Iowa well and made contributions to the team.

I supposed you didn't clap for the Equipment Manager either.
Please do us all a favor and go find another team to rip on.
