I wonder if being away from home is playing a part in this. If so, basketball aside, choosing Iowa City with a very short drive home to see his family whenever he needed to, may have made the situation a little better for him. Whatever the situation, I wish him well and hope he gets the help and comfort he needs.

FWIW there is a lot of speculation on the TOSU board that DJ is transferring closer to home. Not saying it’s true or where he would transfer too. They say they think the mental illness issue is legit but announcing and saying it public is also a ploy to be able to get a hardship waiver for said transfer

But I’ve also seen a screen shot of a message from his mother addressing the situation to TOSU fans, assuring them he’d be back and that he’s a Buckeye and would be back. I’d consider that source more credible. But things unfold publicly kind of strange sometimes. Ya never know. I kind of find interests in following it. Whatever the case I hope DJ ends up happy.
