Can Penn St. be kicked out of the B1G?

There should be crimiminal charges, NCAA penalty (potentially "death penalty"). What about the B1G? Do they have standards? Do they have any say / control over what goes on in their conference?

I'd love to see them booted. Especially since they never should have been here in the first place.

I'm sure there has to be some line in the contract. If schools can break contracts to jump conferences surely they can be kicked out too can't they? I'd love to know the answer to that

I'm surprised it hasn't come up yet........Maybe it is like Hotel California....

Penn State is not going to be kicked out of the Big 10...nor will they receive the death penalty.

Not saying what went on is justified (because it is NOT)...but get real. The people involved need to be booted and suffer any applicable criminal consequences....but the entire university does not need or deserve to be taken down.

Let's not sink to a mob mentality here. Don't punish the many for the actions of a few.

What do you suppose the victims would prefer as punishment?

They going to be "good" with a hand slapping?

I bet not.

If the NCAA does nothing -- hell, if the B1G does nothing -- to Penn State, it cannot ever punish another school for anything. Ever.

If that happens, there is no reason for either organization to exist, and they should be dissolved.

If Penn State can't easily be booted, the other members could leave and form a new conference, just like what happened to the WAC/Mountain West a few years ago. Messy and costly, but there is a precedent.

Never said anything about not being punished. But all this talk about the death penalty and kicking them out of the conference is a reaction to the flames of hysteria being fanned by the media.

Penn State SHOULD receive punishment.....but not the death penalty or get kicked out of the conference.
