Call me a Sunshine Pumper

I'm not rubbing anyone's nose in it. People starting threads calling me out when they thought I was wrong but ended up being right is people trying to rub my nose in it. Everyone was so ready to get rid of last year's seniors which I thought was disrespectful to that group who did so much for us and guess who ended up being right? Those guys are way better than what we have now and I'm not talking experience I'm talking talent too

Better at choking, maybe. Although Bohannon did his best Gesell impersonation last game by missing late FTs and getting blocked at the rim.

This team is not good in clutch situations at all. Jok is the only one I feel comfortable with the ball in his hands at the end of the game and he's gone after this year.

Why? Last year's team could at least defend. Jok seems to be our only clutch player on the roster and people are already throwing him under the bus

Last years team was a upperclassmen dominated team with tons of experience. I like this core of guys better by the time they are all seniors. I don't see that as being hard to understand, you just don't.

He's a turnover waiting to happen - specifically at the end of games.

Last year's class had Uthoff, who in this class is going to be the go to guy in the future? Also there is no way this years group will be as good defensively as last year's

Unless we add a legit PG this freshman class will never make it to the Sweet 16. We're not even going to be a tournament team next year

Oh, I didn't realize next year had already been played out. It's great that you are able to see how players develop in off seasons, and also able to see how Freshman who haven't stepped foot on to campus are going to project as players as well. No wonder we can't see how "right" you are.

His turnover percentage is 12.4% which is 3rd best on the team behind Ellingson and Baer but I get it that it's standard around here to throw seniors under the bus so the hope can be there for next year

It's pretty obvious this isn't going to be a tournament team next year unless we add a guard just like it was obvious this was an NIT at best this year. It's not my fault I can look at what we have and call a spade and spade while others can't see our flaws

Maybe Cook develops into a player you can build a team around, maybe Moss takes another leap, maybe the sum of all of them is greater eventually? You don't know any of that and it can't be proven so stop

It's pretty apparent you don't watch Iowa basketball when you make statements like that. Jok has been terrible in the clutch this year.

What leap has Moss taken so far for you to say another leap?

Well, a leap from you calling him a clear miss I guess?... and Jok has 62 turnovers this season, the most on the team and has 12 in the last 3 games. DUDE

He has the third best turnover percentage on the team. You don't understand advanced statistics do you? His usage rate is 31.2% so of course he's going to have a lot of turnovers

I understand that he has the most - and most of them come at the end of the game in crucial moments.

You're not wrong on this. I just looked up play-by-plays from Purdue, @Neb, @ Minny, the one item I kept seeing near the end of games was Peter Jok turnover.

Do you really think that your senior guard who's been playing major minutes since his sophomore season should have the most turnovers on the team? Is that a good thing? I may not understand the advance stats as much as you, but I have eyes and watch the games. I love Jok, one of the best shooters at Iowa ever IMO - but Jok turns it over at a high clip specifically at the end of games that have been tight.
