Bradford gets $50 mil; Owners Undermine Themselves

Oh, and for the record, I do not blame Bradford for taking it. Sign me up for the same deal if given the opportunity. This is an NFL problem, not a Bradford, Stafford, other 1st rd picks problem.

It has nothing to do with whether or not he "should". The concept of what wage someone "should" make is meaningless in a market economy.

All that matters is that the Rams owner voluntarily gave it to him. If he wasn't worth that, the owner should have let him walk. I know that's undesirable for a host of reasons too, but you have to get rid of the notion of what someone should make.

The only way this will ever go away is with an NBA-like wage scale, which might come in the next CBA.
