Purdue's cleanup hitter crushed a hanging breaking ball for a solo home run. Hawks are down 1-0 heading into the T3.
 
Iowa played some small ball, took advantage of a passed ball, wild pitch, and scratched across 3 runs. Hawks now lead 3-1 heading into the B5.
 
Wilmus with a huge error at 3rd base that allowed the tying run to score. Game is tied 4-4 heading to the 7th.
 
Game is a nail biter, Iowa had an opportunity to score in the T8 with 1st and 2nd with no outs and Peterson bunted back to the pitcher where they were able to force out Fullard at 3rd base. The next 2 hitters struck out.
 
Fullard with a HUGE 2 out base hit to drive home Seegers. Iowa is heading into the bottom of the 9th up 5-4.
 
HAWKEYES WIN!!!!!!!! They will play again tomorrow at the same time. They will get the loser of the Rutgers/PSU game.

Hawks win 5-4 behind some solid relief work from Christopherson and Fullard’s 9th inning single and despite some sloppy play. Go Hawks!!
 
In the 2nd game today Rutgers is up on PSU 2-0 in the 8th inning. If this score holds up it will set up a rematch against Iowa in the morning. PSU burned their next best pitcher and their regular Friday night starter in this one. Iowa should hold the advantage in terms of pitching, of course it's up to the bats to make it happen.
 
Indiana knocked out the 1 seed Maryland so Maryland is eliminated. It is the first time an 8 seed has knocked out a 1 seed in the BTT.

Iowa and Michigan will start at 7:07. Cam Baumann will get the start for Iowa, I haven’t seen Michigan announce their starter.

Game is televised on BTN or streamed on the Fox Sports App.

Bauman just got taken out, best start of the year for him. He came into this game with an ERA over 6 and he shut down Michigan in an elimination game for 5.2 innings. Beutal now in and he inherits runners on 1st and 3rd.
