Bielema to Arkansas

Re: Bielema to Arkansas?

Wiscy board melting down. Someone on there said something about 5.5 million a year. Sounds too high to me. Anyone reporting the salary yet.

It has to be in that ballpark for him to make such a move. I feel compelled to go to the Badger board and mock them.

Wisky would have to be a great job for Diaco to look at. I'll be Doeren is kicking himself for taking the BC job now.

I like the idea one commenter on the ESPN story had: Biels gets canned after three years in Fayetteville, and then he ends up at Iowa. I know many of you won't like the sound of this, but I love Wisconsin's style right now.

I'm thinking he's playing a bit of chess and wants the job in Iowa City in a few years..

Bielema is a smart man, he knows what I've been saying all along, that Urban Meyer is going to absolutely dominate the B10 like nothing we've seen before, he knew now was the time to get out.

But if he had problems with Urban's recruiting tactics, then what the heck is he going to think about the SEC???

Re: Bielema to Arkansas?

I kind of agree about Arkansas being a second-rate SEC job. It should be considered a step down, but the $$$ they will throw at him will make it a lateral move at best.

I don't think it mattered much to BB. I think he was scared of having to face Maryland and Rutgers year in and year out.

So he's leaving a conference to get away from the competition of 2 programs - OSU and Michigan and going to a conference where he will be competing against at least 4 teams - Alabama, LSU, Florida, and Georgia.

Sorry but not buying your clunker of an analysis.

I understand what you are saying...but he's going somewhere where he has to log horns with Saban/Miles every year?!?
