Bielema to Arkansas

So he's leaving a conference to get away from the competition of 2 programs - OSU and Michigan and going to a conference where he will be competing against at least 4 teams - Alabama, LSU, Florida, and Georgia.

Sorry but not buying your clunker of an analysis.

I understand what you are saying...but he's going somewhere where he has to log horns with Saban/Miles every year?!?

Bama and LSU say Howdy!

Whoa...couldn't have timed that any better fellas!

He doesn't need to win that division. Arkansas fans are good with a 2nd or 3rd place finish. He's maxed out at Wisconsin and spoiled the fan base. He knows he's not winning that division any time soon, get a pay raise and get out while the gettin' is good.

Yours got posted in 1 of the 18 duplicate threads of this nature that popped up within about 10 minutes. Wasn't you...it was the thread...

Kum-bi-yah!

This. If the money is even close to being true, he can make $25-$30 Million over 5-6 years and retire in his late 40's. Not a bad gig if you can get it.

Bielema is a smart man, he knows what I've been saying all along, that Urban Meyer is going to absolutely dominate the B10 like nothing we've seen before, he knew now was the time to get out.

Aren't you the guy who always gives me **** for saying something stupid once? Way to blow me out of the water bro.

A friend from Madison is saying rumors already of Gruden or Cowher are going around. I told him he's full of ****. Neither of them are coming down to college level to coach. If either of them get an itch again I would imagine it would be back in the NFL. There should be plenty of job openings for them guys to choose from after this year.

They're even throwing the Chris Peterson name around on the Wiscy boards. There are other threads talking about how they're proud of Wiscy for standing up to Bret and not matching his offer from Arkansas.

LOL. Yeah, Im sure Gruden and Cowher are dying to coach the Badgers, especially with them showing they wont pony up the $$ and have coaches leave.

And he won't face Alabama, LSU, Florida, Georgia in sec? Come on.

Exactly. He didn't leave because he was running from the competition. I would assume it's more about dollar signs and possibly other things going on behind the scenes. Remember, Bret said last year that the Big 10 wants no part in how the SEC runs things, and now he's going there.

I have this feeling as well.

It makes me wonder if Bret is doing this move so he can come to Iowa City in the future.

Other than the tat he got when he was young and dumber, why do you think he has such a boner for Iowa to orchestrate this move just to get back here?
