I think if Brian has any pride just be done now. Can you imagine what chants will be said in the crowds next. I'd just bite down on that Ole crow now and walk. What you going to do fire me if we suck or hire me back if we score shit tons. I know if my boss came up to me and said you're fired but want you to stay on for the next couple months I'd say F**k you! Atleast I hope I would but going on 35 years she just hasn't fired me yet to try it out.

If you were getting paid $50,000/month as Brian is, maybe you'd leave, but maybe you wouldn't. I would stay. (After 35 years, maybe you ARE making as much as Brian!)

Despite what is said on this Board, at the end of the day the AD is the head of the athletic department and Beth is Kirk's boss. She could fire him today if she wanted. Yes, I understand the import of donors and board members and presidents, but the AD is the ultimate decision maker on hiring and firing coaches. Now, on the flip side, KF is the department's most valuable asset at this moment. So, they both have jobs to do and they may not like the decisions the other is making, but they damn well should respect each other and believe that both are doing what they think is best for Iowa athletics.

Shocked by the timing, but absolutely love the move and still do. As big a distraction as it is I think it has little statistical impact on the offense as it's dog shit. That said however, gives them time to focus righting the ship with the recruits and makes it well known that there is a OC position available if we're looking to bring in someone from outside the program, which I truly hope is the case. Hard to do that when Barta's contract indicated that BF's contract would expire in June.
