Are we the third best team in Iowa?

Disagree, our offense is fine...maybe even better than fine. Our defense is very very bad. That needs to be fixed before we can even think about the post season.

Agree with this. Our PG position is a weakness offensively but it's even more of a weakness defensively

The Seton Hall game was painful to watch from a defensive perspective. They just got to the rim over and over. Poor guard defense, and nobody on the back end to protect the rim. Jok, most of the time looks like he's not even trying to play defense. I know he can, I've seen him do it. He just can't mentally prepare himself to do it every time down the floor....or even half the times down the floor.

I expect Iowa to win, because it's a home game. I don't think Iowa is better than ISU this year.

Remember what happened last time Iowa played against ISU on their home floor? I see something similar happening this season, unless Iowa VASTLY improves their defense.

That's just really rare though, and it took a huge, huge run at the start of the second half to make that jump.

It looks like Jok has only so much energy to give and he's going to give most of it on the offensive end.

ISU and UNI will probably both make the tournament and I doubt we do so we're probably third unless something unforeseen happens

Yep, Jok is incredible on the offensive side of the ball but gets blown away defensively.

I do wish Fran would have given Jeremy Morgan an offer.

I personally think ISU is the best team in the state but wouldn't be surprised if Iowa won the game as it's in CHA.

Even if we are the third best team in the state, and that's certainly far from being proven definitively, it doesn't mean we are a bad team. Last year, all three programs made it to the big dance and I can't think of many states that accomplished this from three different conferences.

ISU will make the tourney because the Big 12 is a bad league again this year. Kansas and the 9 dwarfs. Iowa beat the piss out of ISU with our most talented player on the bench. I do not think ISU is any better than Iowa this year. ISU has played three decent teams and lost to all of them. UNI probably has their weakest team in recent years, yet they still beat Oklahoma. Iowa would be a tourney team in the soft Big 12. Doubtful they make it playing in the rugged BIG.

regardless, being the undisputed best team in Iowa feels pretty darn good. being able to hold that over clowns fans heads for an entire year is even better :)

My goodness! And I had the audacity to suggest earlier that since we had not played either team as yet, we may want to wait and see. But, of course, I am very opposed to gloating (except when I get a chance to do it.).
