Are ISU fans on the ledges of tall buildings?

lots of talk that Hornacek has rubbed a lot of people the wrong way in Ames. He's been a bit of a jerk to people when back for charity events etc, and had a little rub over getting his expenses paid for a visit. Rumors that there's more.

Bryce..what do you know?

Have also heard from PHX that the fan's wouldn't be upset if he was offered the clowns job. They would like to replace him anyways.

IMO hornacek is playing ISU to try and get more security in his NBA gig.

...Or make the deal sweeter with ISU. Tough to pull out of the desert for gloomy nasty Winters in Iowa. Great opportunity for JH either way. This vacancy will draw national interest from allot of coaches and AD's. Maybe Thibs would be interested. How ironic that would be. Fred will encourage Pollard to hire TJ and give him an opportunity just like he gave Fred.

Max Bielfeldt chose Indiana over a few other schools including Iowa State. Iowa State appears to be pretty thin along the front line next year.

Gonna be tough to transfer out. Burton, McKay, Cooke, Nadar they all have burned their RS or more sitting and waiting to play for Da Mayor. Long is injured, Thomas isn't that good, so they aren't going anywhere. It would be hilarious if Niang up and transfers, that would be Karma of the highest order.

Transfers out to be closer to better buffets.

Pollard rocks the college basketball world by hiring Ed Hightower.

Hoiberg's departure is a huge opportunity for Fran and Iowa to pass up the clowns. ISU will be good next year, but then they lose a TON. I think they are ready for a nosedive. Hoiberg was a special personality and really clicked with the transfers. I don't see that continuing. It's all but over, clowns. Get back in your clownsuits

Most I've talked to think it means they're special since he got such a great job. Not sure how it reflects well on Clowns that somebody quit on them?????

Agree with above. They are stacked next year but the clown cupboard is bare thereafter

They are one injury away from having a mediocre season this coming year. They still could be mediocre, but they aren't very deep in the front court. Iowa State shouldn't be in any rush to hire a new coach. Every day that passes without a head coach should hurt their recruiting.

That's no different than any other season.

I disagree. In recent successful seasons they've had better depth or higher quality players coming off the bench. McKay and Niang will be solid up front, but who is behind them? No one. That's why they were going after Bielfeldt. They recognize it will be an issue.

The Cyclones have lost Hogue (6'6), BDJ (6'6), and Edozie (6'8). Burton comes in, but he isn't a big man. He's listed at 6'4. Cooke is listed at 6'3. If you don't see the difference in depth then you aren't looking.

Hell just look at the roster and compare last year to this coming season: http://www.cyclones.com/SportSelect...=4252&DB_LANG=C&DB_OEM_ID=10700&Q_SEASON=2014

By my count, there's 14 players listed for 2014 and only 8 listed for 2015. That's IF George Tslopalopolly decides to return which is questionable. Obviously I'm aware there are more guys coming in, but none that I expect can contribute right away.

What happens if Morris or niang were injured last year? Don't throw Edozie at me. He had 3 points and 3 rebounds all of big 12 play. I think the Greek can match that.

Is Nader not a frontcourt backup? Burton will play the 4 in some small ball lineups and it's been part of the plan all long.

Is he even on the team? Sounds to me like he's not coming back since Fred left and his butt buddy Clayton Custer got his ride pulled. You literally don't have a single frontcourt reserve on the roster if Nader starts.

The rotation last year was McKay and niang with Nader backing them up. Once burton is available he slides into hogues role and it's effectively the same situation as last year. The depth thing for next season is completely overblown.

If depth wasn't a problem last year, and it wasn't, then it isn't a problem next year either.

I never said that. My expectations are sweet 16, any more is gravy.

My point is that the team's depth is the exact same as last year and the year before. So if it wasn't a problem then then it isn't a problem now,
