So when do you guys think he sees the floor again? He actually dressed for this game so I guess that's a start. I just added everyone's average, including Tucker's, and that put's us at 70ppg which would be pretty good for us. Granted some people are getting more minutes now but it would be nice to have another scoring option. What do you guys think?

Tuck dressed at OSU as well. I think he is putting his time in and needs to be ready in case the team needs him. That is the next test of his commitment to the team. I am not sure if he plays again this year.

I wish he would have gotten some PT when Iowa was up 18.

it seemed like lickliter was challenging the starting five to finish what they started, beat the press, keep playing defense and make free throws. after some of the end of game letdowns we've had this year, i can see the logic there.

i'm guessing that when tucker plays it won't be garbage time at the end, but that he'll be worked into the flow of the game from the beginning. hopefully we'll find out soon.

I would say that when first round grades come back and he shows he is doing good. My guess would be Wisconsin on March 3rd. How good has it been with his departure seeing what talent we have in Fuller and May. Probably don't come out of their shell as much without Tucker getting a smooth cab ride.

If Nash would have hit that three in the corner with over a minute left it would have been an 8 point game. Not exactly the best situation to make a come back in.
I'm not talking about that point in the game. I was talking about when Iowa was up 18. Who knows, maybe Tucker gets fouled instead of Payne and it never gets to an 11 point margin because Tuck makes the FTs.

I seriously doubt Coach Lick will put Tucker in for the first time on the road.

That means either the Michigan game, could be a possibility if the game turns into a rewind of the last two Michigan games, or maybe against Indiana on the 28th.

Lick has his reasons for not playing the kid. One of them is that in case you didn't notice, the rest of the guys who haven't screwed over their teammates two years in a row are playing pretty well right now without him.

+ a million here. I personally never want to see him in an Iowa uniform because of his actions, and then it is all compounded by the fact that he was the last one off the bench the times I looked over during timeouts. Those little things irk me.

Tucker has been very supportive from the bench throughout the past couple of games which has got to be pretty tough on a guy who is used to be one of "the go to" guys throughout his career I would imagine. Although I was surprised he didn't get in towards the end I still won't question it especially when Coach specifically talked about how they are starting to find some player rotations over the past few games. However, considering that May was very questionable tonight due to back spasms, Gatens is still not 100% due to the ankle and Payne is also banged up it would seem to make sense to add another body into that rotation which most likely would have happened tonight had Bawinkel not gone 4-5 in the first half.

IMHO, it's time to either work Tucker back into the playing rotation, or dismiss him from the program and move on. I don't see the point in keeping him in the doghouse indefinitely (unless you count Lick's seeming need to have someone in there at all times).

Lick has a set of expectations for Tucker to return. Let the kid earn his way back! No dismissal. You have to remember that he has let the team down and it takes awhile to trust again.

Rob Howe tweeted that late in the game, as spank said, would have been the perfect time. I agree

yes...put him in coach...c'mon....another perplexing thing, they're up by 18...and Little Lick isn't spotting Cully, now that would have been the time play him...I roll my eyes....
