Yeah, because Iowa didn't recruit him, and they fired his sorry *** parents who sucked as Iowa Volleyball coaches. My good friend played with this dbag and trust me he hates iowa with a passion.

Whether you agree with the former UNI kid or not, the fact of the matter is many, many of my fellow Hawkeye fans have completely fallen off the deep end over the past couple of years. It's become utterly ridiculous how much our Iowa fans whine, complain and moan about EVERYTHING. In fact, it's gotten to the point where I'm embarrassed and I'm starting to halfway believe the things other fans say about my Hawkeye brethren.
Time to grow up and stop acting like the world is falling every time Iowa loses, or thinking the Hawkeyes are national championship contenders every time they win. The truth always lies somewhere in the middle.
And, it's certainly time to stop interacting negatively with any player who wears black and gold. That gets the team and the fan base nowhere.
Hawkeye fans have been acting like insane idiots. That's a fact.
Hard for me to believe you are really a hardcore fan to be honest.
No one has been upset all year until the last 3 games.
Newflash also bud: Iowa fans are the same as any passionate fanbase.
Yeah, really. And it's from years of very little positive from the program, and now with FB teetering, people are getting more desperate for a winner.
Or in my case, just flat out sick to death of losing. When you FINALLY have a team that looks like it's ready to put together a terrific season, it goes and dribbles it down its leg, which is all the more difficult to swallow following the Alford and Lickliter eras.
From Ali's Twitter:
Blame it on the Iowa fans. The negative attention via twitter etc. is having an effect on that team, no doubt. Dug this team a grave.
What a joke.

Yep. All part of being a Hawk fan. Same as being a Cubs fan.
And made even more difficult to swallow when the team loses two of it's best players, including the best player the program has had in years.
So you know me?Hard for me to believe you are really a hardcore fan to be honest.

So you know me?
You know that I've been a Hawkeye fan since I was 5 years old? You know that I told my wife that she had to transfer from Iowa State if she wanted to continue dating me? You know that, even though it was a gift from my sister-in-law, I never allowed my son to wear the Iowa State jersey he got when he was a baby? You know that even my daughter, who is a toddler, understands that it's not OK to cheer for the Cyclones or, Lord forbid, attend the university. You know that I had two friends (one being my best friend) play football for the Hawkeyes? And, you know that the same best friend used to wear an Iowa State basketball hoodie when he was in junior high until I converted him? You know that I really don't have an NFL or NBA team that I'm even close to passionate about so the Hawkeyes are pretty much it for me?
You know all that about me? Or are you just basing your thought on an assumption because it's easier to do that than accept the fact that our fanbase is quickly turning into a bunch of whiny babies.
If you don't believe anyone has been upset until the last 3 games, you haven't been paying attention. Iowa fans, in general, have been ******** and moaning after every loss in basketball and football for the past 3 or 4 years.
It's gotten to the point where it is embarrassing. And, some of the attitudes people portray within this fanbase are completely disgusting.
I'm as hardcore Iowa fan as they come, I was just taught (correctly) not to get too high after a win or too low after a loss. A great basketball coach that I was very close to once said the only thing that matters is peaking when the tournament begins.
There's plenty of season left, and most basketball seasons, just like a basketball game, will ebb and flow with winning streaks and losing slides. Iowa has time to right the ship and be playing very well once the tournament starts. We've got a solid team capable of playing with anyone. The only two things that concern me about this team are that they really haven't won/put away a big game down the stretch and they're playing terrible defense.
But, it's certainly no reason to jump off the deep end.

#1 Hawk fan here guys! The rest of you pick your game up.
Oh, the irony of your post. You call other posters out for taking the losses too seriously when you obviously have a problem taking your Hawkeye fandom a couple of steps too far.
