AJ already 2019 1st team AA

http://www.espn.com/college-footbal...-early-college-football-2019-all-america-team

DE: A.J. Epenesa, Iowa

One of college football's most productive pass-rushers in 2018, Epenesa led the Big Ten with 10.5 sacks, was fourth with 16.5 tackles for loss and second with four forced fumbles. He added four pass breakups and nine QB hurries to complete the dominant stat line.

Spartans & Purdue got a guy on the list
Badgers got 2

That’s a hell of an accomplishment considering the limited amount of playing time he got.

I can see Taylor...who the heck else from that crappy team would be on it? Hornitoad?

One of the most overrated lines. Minney stole their lunch money for Peats sake.
They had a Runningback go for over 2,100 yards when everybody and their brother knew they were going to run the ball because they had one of the worst college quarterbacks I’ve ever seen (Hornitoad). Also their offensive line controlled our vaunted Dline in Iowa City which is why they were in 3rd and 2 all game and Horni could complete play action dumpoffs to the Fullback for 30 yards.

Guess Minney was Bama lite then.....they certainly didn't have much trouble controlling Bucky.

The music operator at the stadium needs to play AJ Scratch every time AJ has a sack or a big play. The Sox used to do it for AJ Pierzinski (sp) and it got people hyped up. Just tee it up to the hook of the song where it goes "Aaaaa Jaaaay"

Lol. You’re wrong on this one. First off you can’t apply one game and say it makes something a fact (see Iowa’s drubbing of Ohio State two years ago).

Secondly, Wisconsin ran for 170 yards on 5.5 yards a carry on Minnesota and the Oline only allowed two sacks. Horni threw three picks and lost a fumble, which is why they lost the game. They fell behind and as a running team aren’t really built to come from behind. Total yards were Wisconsin 359 and Minny 325. I’d hardly say Minny’s Dline controlled UW’s. Turnovers were the difference.

Did you have too many Michelob Golden’s that day?

His snap count was up there. We rotated 8 guys. No one will be in there every down. I saw someone talk about how NP left linemen in and they just got wore out.

D gets no cred for causing said turnovers???

They sure do. Per the stats they had two sacks (one caused a fumble they recovered) and two QB pressures. Wisconsin ran for 5.5 yards a carry. Those stats would tell me UW’s Oline didn’t get abused as he believes. Hornibrook cost the badgers the game.

No love for the linebackers or DBs?

Minny had a punt return for a TD. So that is just lucky shit huh, just discount that one.

75 of Wisky's yards came when they were down 37 to 7. Might want to discount that drive just a bit.

Wisky TOP was 25 minutes. Not real good there.

Not to mention the fact it was in Madison. OUCH!!!

Welp time to shut AJ down until draft day. Don't want to risk him getting hurt. My apologies for that... I just saw the Scottie Pippen's quotes on how Zion Williamson should shut himself down for the remainder of the season simply because there's not much more he can do to improve his draft stock and its not worth risking injury.

Our discussion was simply about the strength of UW’s offensive line. His argument was Minny proved they were overrated.

When you join an argument you aren’t part of make sure you know what is being argued.

Well, don't think Minney proved WI was overrated...cause they didn't start the day rated anyway. I guess bottom line was Minney took care of business and our guys couldn't beat that shitty bunch from madtown.

Yet, Iowa wins at Minnesota by 17 points. That's football! :)

And you don't think they didn't? They got their ass kicked. Their line was overrated. big time.

Northwestern exposed them posers also, as did BYU.
