AJ already 2019 1st team AA

LMAO. Literally everyone in the country could see it, but he's second string at Iowa.

Iowa Defensive Snaps (865 total)

1. Hooker 833
2. Gervase 827
3. Hockaday 627
4. A. Nelson 610
5. Colbert 596
6. Hesse 588
7. Stone 579
8. Ojemudia 562
9. Hankins 496
10. M. Nelson 468
11. Brincks 449
12t. Epenesa 412
12t. Golston 412
14. Niemann 376
15. Brents 363
16. Moss 333
17t. Welch 268
17t. Lattimore 268
19. Reiff 215

I have an uneasy feeling that Moss is gonna be a starter ahead of someone more talented.

Moss could be a very good at safety. It wouldn't surprise me to see him shifted over there.

And you don't think they didn't? They got their ass kicked. Their line was overrated. big time.

Northwestern exposed them posers also, as did BYU.
Not really no. They were 14th in the country in yards per play, 5th in the county in yards per carry. Their terrible QB play and a banged up defense is why they had a poor season, not their offensive line.

Their offensive line was legit which why they had three 1st Team All B1G linemen and a 2nd Team All B1G linemen. Two of those guys got AP All American Honors.

One of the most overrated lines. Minney stole their lunch money for Peats sake.
I wouldn't be talking about overrated offensive lines. We have one right here in Iowa City. How good was our rushing attack this year?

Was there a passing down of any significance that AJ wasn't in there? People act like he hardly played since he wasn't the 'starter' yet to my recollection he was rushing the passer on every obvious main passing down the other team had. He just wasn't in there on most early and obvious running downs. He wouldn't have been compiling his 'stats' on those downs anyway most likely. Next year he'll be asked to that and then some so here's to hoping with the more snaps he can do it and still be as effective... I think he can as talented as he is but there's always a line in the sand somewhere as to how much you use guys and their effectiveness starts to go down

If Ferentz could clone Adam Shada, he'd start at all 11 positions.

Who had our oline highly ranked this year? Pretty much everyone on here agrees the oline was avg this year, especially in run blocking, and by Iowa standards.

Get back to bashing the skill positions....

It's not getting old...its been old for a while.

AJ will get his 50+ snaps a game next year and will be a straight up monster.....why are people sweating this so much?
