Wassabbe. Just curious. Not sure how you can make such statements when 1.) ESPN is rating him the top 15 freshman to date in D1 and 2.) it seems to be a common theme amongst most people that White is the #3 freshmen in all of the BIG this year? Not sure that's exactly an "average" freshman on a bad team thing? I'm not saying he's got a lock on the NBA nor am I saying there is noway he can make it, but...your statements only add to the comical nature of this thread.
Like I said. This thread is comical. Check out ESPN and you'll find the article. you have to be a subscriber to ESPN to actually read it.
Wassabbe. You posted the following about White awhile back: "Aaron is 11 for 32 in games we have lost this year. Imagine what he will do when we play even better competition." You might wanna check out his BIG stats before you continue to post your thoughts. It's simply wrong to throw a kid under the bus if he doesn't deserve it. Again, don't accuse me of saying the kid clearly is NBA quality. Not saying that. Nor am I saying he's NOT NBA material. All's I'm saying is there's no need to throw a kid under the bus who CLEARLY is performing and putting up very, very solid stats against BIG talent. Who gives a damn if he's the most talented or highly rated? HE'S PRODUCING. Isnt that all that matters? Let's have this debate in a year or so. My gut tells me the picture just might be a little more clearer at that point.
I'm not going to get into a discussion of "is he better than this kid, etc, etc". PRODUCTION is what counts. If a kid elects to go to a program and sit on the pine for a year or more. God bless him. Kinda stupid if you ask me. Try and convince me it doesnt stunt a kids growth as well as put him behind the eight ball re the next level by doing so. Again. Let's have this discussion in a year or so. White has had an awesome freshman year. If he builds on this next year and the next? He'll get looks from the next level. It's common sense.
i didn't have go to thru the whole thread to know most would trash the OP,
what is comical are those trashing a kid in his freshmen year, you trash the kid but ultimately trash Fran as not being able to recruit good players or being able to produce quality players, I guess it does come down to the # of *'s by a kids name if he is good or not, or the fact that the kid is coming to or play for Iowa. that determines his ability to play
