2016 Recruiting Over/Under - 9 Two Stars; 1 Four Star

French is such a great skill player that they moved him to linebacker, right? At least he is getting playing time.

One of the reason's French picked Oregon was because they were recruiting him at WR/TE. Iowa wanted him at DE the whole time I believe, they didn't want him at WR/TE. Go figure turned out Iowa was right in their evaluations of him, and he ended up on the Defensive side of the ball.

Before the trolls can get their troll on, Noah Ellison is picking today between "Iowa, Old Dominion, and Temple" according to him. He no longer has a committable offer from Iowa after they landed Darby and Young at the WR positions, as he visit was canceled after they committed......so he won't be picking the Hawks today.

This happens a lot in recruiting, for instance everyone was up in arms that we didn't take Waraboko's commitment, as he had a "UCLA offer". Fact was he didn't have a committable UCLA at all, and once Iowa took 2 other DB's commits, he didn't have a committable offer left from the Hawks either.

LOL! There are no less than 4 errors in this short post regarding sentence structure, spelling and punctuation. Even Kirk would laugh at you after reading that slop.

Maybe you should quit watching replays of The Tax Slayer Bowl and sign up for some continuing Ed night courses?
People who like to point out the mistakes of others are usually doing to try to elevate themselves to make it appear they're somebody. You may be educated. I suspect you lack wisdom. A person with wisdom can go far in this world without education but education without wisdom is wasted. I hope you find out what is causing your issues. If you're a troll it explains everything, if you're a Hawk fan you need to find out what's causing your anger and prima dona issues that you seem to have with every poster on this board. Go ahead and attack my sentence structure if you like. I doubt there's many here who are worried about my or anybody else's sentence structure. From years of reading posts here everybody seems to get their point across just fine.

I am going to watch twitter all day until this kid chooses between Iowa, Old Dominion, and Temple. Then I am going to jump on here and challenge some guy to a fight over grammar or something.

Law - Every wasted year that goes by under KF makes for even more distant memories...if any....of exciting Iowa Football for any Iowa prep to take hold of and cherish when choosing his program to play for. If I am a top rated skill position prep in the state of Iowa, I'm sprinting the other direction when Iowa comes calling....just the sad state of affairs under KF.
Maybe when we show new recruits highlight films we could pull out game films of the 2002-2004 seasons and tell them they are last years film. Of course the recruits would have to be really dumb to fall for it so we could have some academic issues.

Lol! The IQ on this guy and the irony of what he said could be featured on something like Jay Leno. Buddy, here is a bit of free advice. Do not ever call anybody "stupid" when you have less than an eighth grade education.
Trolls stick together.

Question...

Why even bother talking to iowalaw and his dumber half? They spit out the same recycled garbage. You aren't getting anywhere with the conversation. It's just a revolving door of BS. I have a feeling if you stopped entertaining them they'd eventually go away. Or they'd just keep talking to themselves and look like the idiots that they are.
Advice taken, thanks.

Ellison would give us our third 2 star WR in the class. Just the kind of playmakers we were hoping to get to solidify our weakest position in Davis' horizontal offense.

He would also bump us up to 1st place nationwide on committed 2 stars. An impressive feat that Ball State will be very upset to hear.

Unfortunately, I believe Old Dominion is going to beat us out on this one. We don't have the facilities to hang with those dogs.

On all the other forums I frequent (not just sports, but tech and latest news) the single most common way to identify trolls is when they come out as spelling, grammar and punctuation police. Just sayin'.

It still seems like too much emphasis is put upon star-rating. Even when Iowa was successful there were many players that were not highly rated. Just looking at the 2005 recruiting when Iowa had a highly rated class. Many of the 4 stars you probably either don't remember contributing or wish they hadn't like: Jake Christensen, Alex Kanellis and Dan Doering. How about some of the 3 star guys: Angerer, Yanda and Stross?

Try to take solace in the fact that Michigan wanted Toks and that we have two potentially very good dual-threat QB's in the last recruiting cycle. Iowa has done well developing most of the other positions.

But therein lies the fallacy of your thinking.

For the 2015 recruits in Iowa, the top 12 recruits went to either Iowa or Iowa State with Iowa garnering the top 7 and 8 of the top 12. #1 Ryan Boyle and #5 Drew Cook were the only skill position players.

For the 2016 recruits, the top 2 are going to Nebraska and Arkansas, but they both play OG. The next four are committed to Iowa, with one skill position, a TE.

For the 2017 recruits, there are only 3 listed and one has committed to Iowa, the other two are projected to go to Iowa. #2 Jacob Coons is a skill position player, listed as ATH.

So it seems the top skill position players in the state of Iowa ARE leaning toward going to Iowa.

Well, they are from Iowa and probably couldn't out sprint the coaching staff...

It's a good thing that most people don't care about sentence structure. I structure sentences about as well as Yoda.

Sentence structure as well as Yoda, you do. recruit football players to Iowa as well as ferentz i do.

Its really hard to judge the quality of this class. I've been really surprised at how fast this class has filled up this early in the yr.
